Did I miss any other great deals this week?
Simple recipes, DIY and inspiration to make everyday a little more fun
Hi Charlene, the Nivea lip balm $3/2 coupons had expired on 12/16. We can’t use them for this coming week 🙁
why would you list the nivea lip care coupons when they are EXPIRED?!
Holly,
It was a simple mistake. It is easy to have coupons slip through on matchups- especially because these are done early in the week. On a more personal note, please don’t speak to me like that. It is totally unnecessary to scream at someone for making a mistake. We are all human beings and no one deserves to be treated like that, especially over something that is really very minor.
So why leave it posted if it is a mistake? It was not my intent to scream, it was my intent to draw attention to the fact that the coupons were expired.
Holly, I have removed it. Kindly refresh your screen and you will see that. I am not actually glued to the computer and sometimes it is either impossible or inconvenient for me to immediately correct things. In this case I can not remove the coupon from a mobile device, I needed to actually get to my computer.
Really there is nothing to get so worked up about here. I would really appreciate it if you can please either give me a break or perhaps you can find another blog that will better suit your needs.
Kudos to you Charlene…How rude of someone to treat you like that. I know I speak for thousands of people who thoroughly enjoy your blog and APPRECIATE all the time and effort you put into helping so many of us save time and lots of money. Thank you so much, I have saved so much money from all of your tips and posts, especially this year on Christmas gifts. You are a blessing to so many on a budget. happy Holidays to you and yours. Again, thanks for all you do.
holy smokes! charlene…ditto to what angela said! i think holly needs a hug! ; )
Ditto Angela and Piper. Holly needs to realize that Charlene does this on her own time to benefit all of us. Personally, I’ve made more than my share of mistakes and would never yell at anyone like that. Holly… try doing this yourself. Thank you Charlene!
I check your site every day and I love what you do for us. Thanks to you I have found many deals and saved lots of money. Please know that you are appreciated and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you Charlene for all you do here. Holly needs to realize she’s not paying you for helping her save money.
Thank-you for all you do for others Charlene. You have helped so many people save money. We have have experienced financial troubles in the last few years and you have made a real difference in our lives. My kids are going to have many Christmas presents, I could not have other wise afforded without reading your blog. Thank-you. I hope you and your family have a great holiday season.
Hi Charlene, I am pretty new to couponing and still trying to get the hang of things. Can you tell me what RP means in this post? For example, “Use $2/1 Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Product, exp. 1/26/13 (RP 12/02/12)”. Thank you very much!
Love this blog! Charlene you do a great job, I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
Loren,
RP is Red Plum coupon insert from the 12/2 newspaper. The SS is Smart Source coupon insert or P&G would be the Proctor and Gamble insert. You can see the name of the insert on the front of it.
This will help you:

You’re awesome! Thank you so much! Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much for everything, Charlene! You are amazing at what you do.
Charlene, I appreciate your work and love your blog so much. Have a merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Awesome deal on Physician’s Formula. I can’t wait. It’s about the only makeup I can use without some reaction. Thanks for all of your hard work helping others get deals too. Merry Christmas!
Charlene-
I tried to do the Keri lotion $1 money maker deal at my store and the clerk and manager said that “they are no longer allowing couponers to do that and they could get fired for doing it”. Do you know if this is the case for all stores or if there is somewhere in there policy that says that? Thanks so much…I just ended up purchasing the lotion because it was such a great deal but I didn’t get my cough drops for free like I wanted.
Yeah that is technically right Emily :(. They are just supposed to give you the item free and that is that. A lot of stores seem to offer overage in the past but I won’t post that again so that others aren’t disappointed. It is still a great deal though on a nice product!
Greetings and blessings; Charlene, thank you for all your hard work and effort in helping my fiancee and myself to save hundreds of $$$ throughout the year. We look forward to your tips, advice and savings in the coming year… Till then… Have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and joyous New Year. JCM
Merry Christmas Charlene! Your blog has helped me save my family so much money in the past 2 years. Thank you so much!
Happy New Year everyone – I had 3 households to give gift to that are struggling this year & I hate giving money because it always disappears so fast but with the help of both yours and other blogs I was able to take that same amount of $$s and stretch it into 3 care packages full of the everyday items people need (dish soap, tissues, aspirin, razors & blades, cereal, etc.). I gave each household one of the big paper boxes (free from work) filled with items & a 12 pack of paper towels. I was worried it might seem silly but when they opened it & started to dig through they loved the stuff & said it was just what they needed. So keep in mind as you are stocking up on these great deals, care packages are still in vogue for retirees, laidoffs, & college kids.
