I wanted to mention this cute idea if you are looking for something fun and easy to do with the kiddos.
I made something similar to these last year and this year I am going to do the Santa ones.
You simply purchase Nutter Butter cookies and use a little white chocolate to create his beard and hat. You can either use mini chocolate chips for eyes or a little milk chocolate melted and dabbed on.
The little red candy for the nose can either be the white chocolate mixed with red food coloring or buy the red hot candies in the baking section with all the sprinkles.
Last year I did Rudolph instead and used broken pretzels to attach to the sides of the head like antlers. I used M&Ms for eyes and the same red hots for the nose.
You can also dunk the entire cookie in white chocolate to make a Frosty. You can see a cute example of how the snowmen look on my Pinterest board here.
The recipe for the Santa Nutter Butter cookie is here.
These are really fun and always a hit with the kiddos. I find these much easier to make then a traditional sugar cookie.
