Happy Happy Happy New Year’s Eve to you!
I am a big fan of the New Year because I love the idea of starting fresh. I feel like a new year offers me a chance to change things I am not happy with and celebrate the many blessings in my life. I am very goal oriented and although I typically don’t set resolutions, I do tend to set a lot of goals for myself and the blog.
So thank you again for stopping by and hanging out with me this year on My Frugal Adventures. I have had a great time digging up all sorts of deals and freebies and even a few lifestyle and cooking tips.
In just a few weeks I will celebrate my 4th birthday blogging so this year was especially nice for me because I feel much more comfortable predicting what sales will come around.
You can expect a lot more deals from me in January plus some financial tips and tricks and articles on saving money, kick starting your couponing and more.
I usually stay home on New Year’s Eve and just enjoy spending time with my little ones. If you are out and about and find yourself in a situation where you may have had a little too much champagne, some AAA will offer free towing of you and your car regardless of whether you are a member or not.
The phone number to call is: 800.222.4357 for Tipsy Tow. So stay safe and have a wonderful New Year!
Thank you for your hard work in money saving leads, these little things add up and have a huge impact on families trying to get by. All of your posts are read and appreciated. Happy New Year to you and yours!!!!,
Your dedication over the years is much appreciated. Following your tips & matchups enabled me to achieve a goal — a college education for my son beginning 2013. Saving $ then spending on things that really matter, is what I’ve learned here.
2012 was a good year. We survived the relaunch of J4U. Survived the Mayan calendar end of time prediction. Survived the end of Raleys Friday Freebie (sadder than the Mayan end of time prediction, LOL) Thanks for getting us through! Happy new year!
Happy New Year, Charlene!
I thought you’d been blogging for longer than 4 years, Charlene! I’ve been with you for just over 2. Your blog is my favorite by far! Thanks for all that you do and Cheers to 2013!
It feels like it Rachel :). I can only remember because I know I had the computer at the hospital when I gave birth to #2 :P. She will be 4 in May and I started a few months before she was born.
I am so thankful for your blog. I’ve been following for about 3 years and its been great for us. When I first started, I called myself frugal and cheap, now I consider myself smart and decisive. We’ve lost significant income (like many) over those 3 years, but this Christmas I met my goal of not touching our checking account (work income) for a single Christmas gift for our 3 kids. Everything was purchased with gift cards earned, extra money from odd jobs, and extra money from selling things not needed anymore. Combine those with knowing what I was looking for, not wandering aisles, price-matching, coupons, and good deals, and you have success! I even had money leftover and had no desire to buy more because I knew what I had would make my kiddos more than happy! While I love the coupons, I love even more that my husband and I have become smart shoppers for the big things. Which is good because we have a lot of debt to pay off from the days before being smart shoppers and the coupons certainly make the paychecks go farther!
Oh I am so glad Jessica!! Personally I don’t want to be cheap. I think when you have a generous heart more things will come your way so I try to be smart and informed and not cheap :). I totally agree that wandering aisles is such a downfall. I spent a little more then I wanted this year and I blame it on the blog :D. All those trips to Target to check prices are my downfall. If I do orders online I spend way less then when I putter in a store- too many other temptations :P.
