Just bring in your receipt on your next visit to get your free item. Gift cards must be purchased by 12/31 and your free item claimed by 1/31/13.

I have no idea. Did you buy it yet? I would think they would give you the free item on the spot with purchase. I am not sure how that would work if you didn’t want it yet. You’d have to call and ask I think.
No not yet but this is what I saw on their facebook page:
“Buy $30 or more in gift cards at any US Chipotle restaurant between 11/16 and 12/31/12.
Then bring in your receipt on your next visit (before 1/31/13) for a FREE burrito, bowl, or order of tacos,”
