There are so many great deals on Amazon today. I try to just look through them all first thing and then I set little reminders to myself to check back at the appropriate time.
There are four places to check- it is a little work at the start of the day but you will likely get yourself a fantastic deal so worth it to me. I can get a Black Friday price without getting my eyes scratched out in stores at 2am.

Oh darn Katie that was a good deal! I will keep an eye out but it is hard to say. I am hoping Target issues a Lego coupon at some point. Usually the toy deals are gangbusters through mid-December so we might see another good deal :).
So I sat there waiting for the Ipod Touch and it went live and was 100% claimed within half a second. Man, makes you wonder who got them that fast! Guess I’ll wait in line with everything else. 🙂

If you get waitlisted just keep the screen open and then they will alert you after a minutes that you can buy. I have always been able to get something when I was waitlisted. But you are right 😛 It is nuts.
Oh good- what did you get? Amazon is so fun this time of year.
I also tried to get the deals on the ipods – both were 100% claimed within seconds of the release time. That hardly seems fair on Amazon’s part — seems like a bait and switch if they can’t offer enough of the deal to satisfy less than a minute of demand.

I understand your frustration but it is not bait and switch. We don’t know how many they have available- it could be 20 or 200,000. The lightning deals are just that- like lightning. You want to be logged in and ready to buy the second the deal pops up. Get on the waitlist if you can. I have picked up a bunch of really hot lightning deals myself but it is a little stressful for those few minutes :).
I tried to get waitlisted, but it was already full in less than a second. I agree that I don’t think it’s a bait and switch. They are too reputable a company for that, but I do enjoy the “thrill of the hunt”!
The Facebook page has 14 million fans so you can assume they have a lot of people wanting stuff. hang tight for 2 more minutes, I am working on an awesome post from them that everyone will want :).
I do not see the Sharpies anywhere…do you still see them?

Oh LOL- I see now. What the heck? I don’t see them. I would still check back because Amazon is the crazy one not me. I am sure those were up earlier this morning :).
