Here are a few nice deals from Toys R Us this week on candy and costumes! Hopefully this finally starts to crank up the Halloween deals because we really haven’t seen much so far this month.
On Wed 17th and Thurs 18th only, get bags of Geoffrey candy for $1.50. You do need to buy 2 bags and I am not seeing a limit on this offer. I believe these bags are about 9-12oz which would make them about $.13 per oz. I do think this is a good deal though because these have 25 pieces of candy inside. I think that the fun size bags of chocolate or Skittles or whatever have about 20 pieces inside.
One Wed 17th and Thurs 18th only, use the Toys R Us coupon to take an extra 30% off a regularly priced costume.
There is a deal in the weekly ad for a free Halloween trick or treat bucket with purchase of any costume. So I am not seeing any reason why you can’t get a bucket free too but as always with Toys R Us you just never know. Some stores are stinkers about honoring promotions.
Last but not least, I wanted to mention the candy deal in the weekly ad that goes through 10/20.
They have Halloween candy in 6-22oz bags for $2.49 this week. This is supposed to be 50% off. Now I actually went to my store on Sunday to check this out and I was really disappointed. There was hardly any candy available and I did not see any 22oz bags at all.
A better option would be to price match at Walmart.
I didn’t feel totally comfortable with this because there is a $1/1 Hershey’s candy 22oz+ coupon in the 10/14 SS. Now I had a quick look at Target and these bags were like $7 so to be honest it just doesn’t feel right to me to price match in that situation.
BUT it looks like Walmart has this size bag for $4.99- which is much closer to what the Toys R Us ad states so I feel more comfortable with that option myself.
