I just wanted to give you a quick heads up about the Toys R Us/Babies R Us Price Match Guarantee. It’s always nice to be familiar with a store’s price match policy, but with holiday shopping season fast approaching, this might especially come in handy!
First and foremost, Toys R Us and Babies R Us will match competitor store pricing on ALL products in store.
Here are the guidelines to keep in mind:
- Valid on in-store purchases ONLY
- They will match all competitor store advertised prices
- Except for online-only prices, they will match www.toysrus.com and www.babiesrus.com online pricing in-store (this sounds obvious, but their internet sales are operated independent of their stores)
- Items must be identical to the items advertised (for instance: brand, color, size)
- You must present the original, complete competitor ad with valid dates at time of purchase
- Prices are matched after deducting any Toys R Us and/or Babies R Us coupon savings and other offers from the price
- Price match is given at the time of purchase or within 7 days of purchase date with a valid receipt
In addition, Toys R Us and Babies R Us will price match internet prices on baby gear from select national competitors. These are the internet price match guidelines for baby gear:
- They’ll match online prices for all identical items or models of baby gear merchandise from selected national competitors who carry a large variety of juvenile and baby products
- Online advertisements and prices from selected national competitors will be price matched in store
- Competitor shipping charges will be calculated and factored in the cost of the online price
- Baby gear includes the following items: high chair, play yards, swings, bouncers, entertainers, bassinets, doorway jumpers, jumperoos, car seats and accessories, strollers and accessories, shopping cart covers, bottle totes and changing pads.
They will not do a price match on the following:
- Category-wide or storewide discounts
- Buy One Get One offers
- Gift with purchase offers
- Percentage (%) off discounts
- Items that are out-of-stock or that are in limited quantity
- Doorbusters
- Black Friday specials
- Internet pricing for non-baby gear items
- Coupons
Overall, it seems pretty straight forward. And the internet pricing on baby gear, could come in handy if you didn’t want to wait for something to ship or needed any item quickly! However, a couple things to keep in mind, these are only guidelines and how they are enforced will probably vary from store to store.
