I just discovered the Cinnamon Dolce Lattes and I admit to spending more then I would like at Starbucks these days! Darn you Starbucks and your overpriced coffee that is just so good!
But if you have a Safeway store near you, there is a nice promotion running from 10/26-10/31.
You can get a Grande Espresso drink for $2.00 after 2pm.
The timing isn’t ideal but those Lattes that I love are like $4.50 so this is more then half off. I try to take each of my little darlings on dates with Mom every so often so we can spend one on one time together and this is a great excuse to make a Starbucks date.
The little hot chocolate for kiddos is just $1- so a way cheap date. (One little piece of advice- whatever you do DO NOT order the brown sugar hazelnut tarts. Darn you Starbucks and your amazing tarts! I am also addicted to those things.)
And on another Starbucks note, Starbucks has changed the Rewards so now you can get a free drink after you buy 12 drinks not 15.
You can also redeem your free drink offer via a mobile device or by presenting your card instead of waiting for the little postcards that take 100 years to come. Yeah!

I love those brown sugar walnut tarts, too! My go-to snack at Starbucks is that and a soy caramel macchiato. I think I’ll try that cinnamon dolce latte though. $2 espressos, here I come 🙂

Yum yum! I buy those tarts as a treat for the kids and then distract them so I can have a little bite ;).

My all time favorite Starbucks drink is the Cinnamon Dolce latte. Ever since they came out a few years ago, I can’t get anything else! (except I also like the Gingerbread Latte during the Holidays) 🙂

Rachel- what is the deal with it? They make it with caramel right and then sprinkle cinnamon powder? I need to watch and figure out how to do it at home.
Rachel says
They use a Starbucks signature Cinnamon Dolce syrup (made with liquid crack, IMO!) and top it with whip and some sort of cinnamon sprinkle mixture. I’m not entirely sure what is in the topping. You can ask your local store if they have a bottle of the syrup they will sell to you – I’ve done this before. If they have enough stock, they can sell it to customers. I think it’s 6.95 for a large bottle.
