It looks like the free $2.00 Target gift card offer is back again if you missed it. Some people had trouble with this last time around but I did use my $2 credit just fine in store so it is worth a shot.
If you have a smart phone, just follow these steps:
- Download the free Shopkick app to your smart phone.
- If you already have the app, open it and go into my stuff and then my profile to see if you have registered a phone number to your account. If you have not, go ahead and do that.
- Once you get the app and/or register open your internet browser on your phone.
- Type in www.shopkick.com/targetsms
- Click Yes I have the app.
- Enter your phone number and you should get the free $2.00 gift card to use in store.
Expires 11/1. I did this one already myself so I can’t test it again- please let us know how it works out for you!

Where do you find it to use it? I am new to shop kick and it said I got it but I can’t find it to use it
When I go to profile, there’s no place for my number. It only has my name, sex and DOB. Where do I go to input my number?
I’m so frustrated with all the smartphone coupons! Guess I’ll have to get me one of those things eventually.
Sandy go to the top left tool and hit the “account settings” and that’s where you enter your number and will then be required to confirm it

I think they changed things around a little but this worked for me.
Click either Me or your name in the bottom left.
That brings up a screen with a grey box where your photo should be and says a level you are assigned. In the upper left click the little wheel icon. Click account settings.
I got the gift card but I can’t figure out how to redeem it. I asked at Target, and they didn’t know either. I have been all around Shopkick (I’m new to it), and I still can’t figure out what I’m supposed to show Target to redeem it. Anyone know? Thanks!

My gift card was listed under my stuff and had a little Target gift card. When I clicked the gift card it opened up to have a barcode that the cashier scanned.
When I tried to do this again today, it said I already got this offer. Last time this came out Target couldn’t scan the card then, Shopkick sent text saying sorry, that it needed to be used online and for the mistake here were 120extra kicks. Today I tried to open my original $2 gift card to use online but, it no longer shows up. Just a gift tag saying, I got a gift from Target. The original gift card said you had 24 days to use it once it was opened. It has not been 24 days since the original GC came out. Anyone else experience this?

I went back this morning and it worked fine this time. When I clicked on the card in “my stuff” (the card icon had an exclamation point by it), a screen opened up with a bar code on it. I went to guest services, they scanned it, and gave me $2. They said I could have used it at the register as well and it could have deducted $2 from the order. Anyway, last night, I got the icon w/exclamation point, but when I clicked on it, I just got a screen with another gift card icon and a note about booster points, expiration date, etc… I couldn’t do anything with it. But again, this morning, everything worked and I got the $2. Thanks for this offer, Charlene!
