Safeway Deals 9/19-9/25

09/18/2012. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

Be sure to read about the new Just for U program rolling out at Safeway!

The Fresh Ideas booklet from August has a 2/1 Odwalla gallon coupon :)

Charlene September 18, 2012 at 8:09 PM

franki September 19, 2012 at 4:00 AM

Just for U coupon for FREE Gallon Milk up to $3.99 wyb any 4 Post Cereals to match with the cereal for $1.49 after coupons.

Charlene September 19, 2012 at 2:38 PM

I saw that too EC :) . I am actually happy about that because I got a personal deal of $4.79 for organic milk. It works out to $.49 per box for me since I would spend $4.79 on milk anyway.

Do you know if there is a fee to activate the $100 Visa gift card? Also is there a limit?

Charlene September 19, 2012 at 7:27 PM

Elisa,

In my experience there are about $5 in fees for those cards but I do not know for sure.

I have a coupon in my personalized deal that reads: Open Nature Bread or Buns , 16-24oz Limit1PerDay Your Price 50% Off Personalized Price
Unlimited. Will that stack with the $0.50/1 coupon, and will both of those come off all the bread that I buy, or just 1 item? So, would all my bread by just $1.00? Sorry if this was explained already, but the Just4U coupons confuse me sometimes. :)

Charlene September 20, 2012 at 12:46 PM

Dana,

Since it says limit 1 per day I think that means just one loaf. Since you have one as a personal deal and a second thing as a coupon center coupon, I think they will both come off. Either way it is a great deal :)

Dana September 20, 2012 at 2:03 PM

Charlene,
Thanks! That what I was thinking, but the “limit 1 per day” together with “unlimited” on the coupon was confusing. You’re right, either way a great deal though! Looks like I’m headed to Safeway. Thanks for your blog. You’re fantastic and help me save so much $$!

Mysha September 21, 2012 at 9:26 PM

For some reason, the Real California coupons do not scan at my grocery store. So then depending on the cashier, they may or may not type it in. Does anybody else have this problem?

Charlene September 21, 2012 at 9:35 PM

Mysha,

They probably won’t scan anywhere. The cashier needs to check for the seal and push the coupon through.

franki September 24, 2012 at 2:11 AM

@ Dana: when I had 50% off Open Nature bread, the 50% came off the original shelf price (!!) Bread on sale was really cheap,
If it was 2.99 regular, on sale 1.99 m price would be about .50
Half of 2.99 = 1.50, and then $1 would come off for sale :)

Crazy bad shopping this weekend, with the website being down Friday. I couldn’t shop until busy Saturday. The Friday $5 deals are supposed to last all weekend if you load to card but they didn’t come off for me. Spend as much time at Customer Service as I do shopping :(
