Safeway Ad & Deals 9/12-9/18

09/11/2012. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad!

Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine.

Be sure to read about the new Just for U program rolling out at Safeway!

Lily,

You can use one of those or the Just for U coupon but not both of them :) .

oh I see! Thank you Charlene for the clarification! Thank you for all that you do!

Here’s a link for a free movie ticket when you purchase 3 Langer’s juices. http://langers.com/paranorman/paranormanoffer.htm

In my Just 4 U I have coupons for 10% off any bagged salad purchase, facial tissue, bath tissue, battery, and paper/plastic tableware purchase.

Also buy 4 post cereals get $3.99 of a gallon of milk.

Does anyone know how many of the Langers promos you can do per household. I read the rebate offer a few times but didn’t see the limit.
Thanks in advance!

I am confused, can we load coupons on our cards with Just 4 U, and use a manufacturers coupon for the same product?

Charlene September 12, 2012 at 4:37 PM

Kristina,

Some of the in ad coupons you can also use a manufacturer coupon with but the Just for U coupons in general can not be stacked with additional coupons.

If you can take a moment and read this article there are images and very detailed information that should help:

So I had a coupon for V8 fusion from last Sunday’s newspaper that was 75 cents or $1 off one. Also I was able to stack the just for u coupon for Newman’s pizza with a printable and get it for $2.99. Maybe we can stack just for u with other coupons after all.

Charlene September 12, 2012 at 8:26 PM

Heather,

I went to a seminar held by the executives at Safeway and they were very clear on this issue. I explained the program exactly as it was explained to me and they were crystal clear on the issue of stacking coupons. So I have to abide by the policies they have put forth. I guess my personal opinion is just because something “works” doesn’t make it the right thing to do ;) . The coupon policy is not that clear on the issue though so I will pass the information on to them and I’ll suggest they update the policy so everyone has clear direction about the program. :)

I found Safeway brand orzo reduced to 2/$1. If you have the $1/4 Safeway pasta coupon in your J4U, they come out to only $0.25 each!

Sharon September 13, 2012 at 6:49 PM

I clicked to add on a personalized price before I realized there was a coupon which would bring the price even lower. What happens when my “Personalized Price” is $1.86 (for Prego), but there is a JFU coupon for $1.49ea? Will the system automatically know to use the lower price? And, is there a way to remove a personalized price that you’ve decided you don’t want? Thanks for your help!

Sharon September 13, 2012 at 7:01 PM

I need a judgement call … I have a personalized price on chocolate chips of $2.43 + $1.00/2 coupon + Catalina running $2.00 OYNO when you buy 4 = $1.43/bag of chips. (we didn’t get the $0.75/2 coupon in MD) I know I’ve gotten Nestle chips for $1.00/bag in the past, but I seem to recall that last November the best I could do was $1.50, so I’m thinking this is a good deal. What do you all think?

Charlene September 13, 2012 at 9:33 PM

Sharon,

I think that is a great price :) .

Charlene September 13, 2012 at 9:34 PM

Sharon,

It is supposed to pull the lowest price for you.
