Here is your guide to the October sales and produce that will be in season.
October is when all the great baking supplies sales will begin- these should run through the holidays and include basic items like flour, sugar, chocolate chips and so on.
We will also see sales on Italian foods- including pasta, pasta sauce, pizzas etc…
This month is a great time to keep an eye out in home furnishings and home appliances as retailers are getting rid of old inventory to get set for new holiday stuff.
My Target for example has half the home appliance section on clearance right now.
Halloween will obviously bring some of the lowest prices of the year on candy. After Halloween usually includes a lot of great clearance sales- this is a good time to think ahead for Christmas stockings and grab a few things you might need.
We will see Halloween decor and costumes on clearance after the holiday and typically things can go as much as 90% off. Retailers really want to get rid of all the Halloween items to make as much room for holiday displays as possible.
And as for looking ahead to November, well we already what is going to come in November! Crazy holiday shopping- including all the Black Friday ads. If you are new to my blog, I post the Black Friday ads as soon as they are released along with a quick list of the highlights. Last year I started posting the ads on 11/7- so expect to see the lists coming in early to mid month.

Thanks for posting this Charlene! I love it. My girlfriend saw my menu planning binder with your produce/sales list and is going to print out copies herself!

Thanks, Charlene. I appreciate the monthly list as it too goes into my home binder to remind me what I need to be sure to stock up on at low low prices. Also, thanks for the plug with the $2.00 Target post. Have a great weekend.
