Amazon is getting ready to release a new Kindle Fire with 40% faster performance, twice the memory and a longer battery life. Even better, it is priced $40 cheaper and available for pre-order for $159. It is set to be released 9/14.
Also, the new Kindle Fire HD was just announced yesterday for $199. It’s set to also be released on 9/14. This one comes with HD display and exclusive Dolby audio.
The Kindle Fire HD is also available with a larger 8.9″ display for $299 and will be released 11/20. The HD Fires also have a front facing camera so you can make Skype video calls.
And lastly is the new Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ with 4G. This one is nice because you can get online anytime with the 4G LTE wireless and you don’t have to look for a wi-fi hotspot. It’s priced at $499 and expected to ship 11/30 when you pre-order now. This one seems to have a lot of the bells and whistles of an iPad but is a lot cheaper than the iPad with 4G.
So, there are some nice options for the Kindle Fire. Shipping is free on each of these.
Love our kindle fire and so glad we went with this instead of the leappad tablet. These new ones are great too because you can personalize each child and set limits on their activities–x minutes for apps, but unlimited reading. So MUCH better parental controls on these new ones. Need to save up $$$. I want the one with the larger screen!
