The hot toy lists of 2012 have been released and here is a quick preview of what the hottest toys of the season are supposed to be.

We won’t know what the best prices will be until the Black Friday 2012 ads are released in a few months.  Last year, by the time the Black Friday ads were released a few of the hot items were sold out in most stores and they never did have enough until after Christmas.

So I wanted to get a jump on things and let you know what is supposed to be hot so you can start thinking about the holidays and looking around for great deals.

The prices listed below are just the MSRP prices only and may not reflect the best deals we see.

Doc McStuffins Time For Your Checkup Doll $39.99.  (Currently $60 on Amazon but The Disney Store has it for $39.99).

Jake and The Never Land Pirates – Musical Pirate Ship Bucky $44.99

Lalaloopsy 12 inch Silly Hair Star Doll – Harmony B. Sharp $69.99

Furby (assorted colors) $54.99.  These are way inflated on Amazon but Target has them for $54- they are currently sold out.

LeapPad 2 $99.99.    The Leapfrog bundles are also available.

Micro Chargers Time Track Race Track $29.99.   This is way overpriced at the moment.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Secret Sewer Lair Playset $119.99.  Also pretty overpriced right now.

Y-Volution YFliker F1 Scooter $99.99.

Hot Wheels Remote Control Terrain Twister Vehicle $99.99.  This is on sale at the moment and I saw a demonstration of this thing and it is really, seriously cool.

Tabeo 7″ Kids Tablet $149.99

Nintendo Wii U Gaming System $419.97.  This isn’t available to preorder and will be out 11/18.

Bounce Bounce Tigger $39.99.  This is currently sold out but I believe Target might have it for this price in store.

So again, this is just to give you an idea of what is supposed to be hot this year and you can take a look at the details for each toy now to start thinking about the holidays.

Good gravy; Furbies are popular again?! I didn’t understand the appeal the first time around….

    Annye,

I agree. They look like Gremelins to me :). What do I know though 😉

Hey just a heads up you can pre-order the wii U at Gamestop..I did last week 🙂 It is 299.00 for the 4G white in color and 349.00 for the 8G black color and the 8G also comes with Nintendo Land. I also pre-ordered 4 games. It is $25 to put down for the wii and $5 for the games 🙂

Ok thanks Meghan! I usually like to see what Amazon offers because they seem to beat Gamestop on pricing. I am thinking they will have a preorder coming soon. How much were the games?

They were 50. They have some really fun looking games coming out. I watched the youtube video of the top 5 games..the guy was hilarious but my kids ( 9 and 6) LOVED the previews of the games. Whenever I do Amazon for new electronics I am never the early bird..I always miss the worm lol.

What do you think of the Hot Toy Reservation program at Toys R Us? You have to put a non-refundable deposit of 20% of total price. I was considering it for the Doc McStuffins toy.

I dunno Rachelle. I don’t like deposits and stuff plus TRU seems to be so expensive. I would rather pay the $40 for that toy from Disney Store and keep it in the bag with your receipt. You could always return it to Disney Store if a way better deal came along.

TRU has had terrible inventory issues with those toys specifically but they only had an exclusive on it for the summer. Now we will see it at Disney Store and probably Target and Amazon so for Doc I wouldn’t be quite as worried :).
