I have been meaning to put together a really good birthday freebies post… Well I swear it is on my list of things to get done but this freebie deserves a special post of its own.
If you live near a Vera Bradley store, you might check inside and see if they offer a Birthday Club.
It is very simple to sign up- you just enter your mailing address and birthday. The month of your birthday, you will get a coupon in the mail for $20 off your next purchase.
Now the coupon that I have received does not have any minimum purchase requirements so you can literally get something for free.
My birthday is in December and I bought a little cooler on sale and my grand total was $1.07. If that is not enough, the store didn’t have the pattern I wanted available so they ordered the one I wanted and shipped it free!
I love Vera Bradley and this is really an awesome offer. I am not aware of a place to register for the club online, but you can find a Vera Bradley location here.

I signed up for the birthday club in June. My birthday is this month (July) and I haven’t received a card. Any ideas?

I would just call your store and ask. It sounds like they didn’t have a lot of time to process your info if you registered in June.
Rachel, just call your VB store near you, same thing happened to me, they just told me to come to the store, shop and while paying, tell the cashier that you didn’t recieve your coupon and they will probably ask your name/ other info and then they will give it to you. Shouldn’t be a problem!
My Daugher signed up at one of the stores and faithfully every year
she gets her $20.00 coupon in fact we just spent it she wanted the
backsack which was great in the end only costing $28.00 instead
of $48.00 so be keep trying for the birthday club well worth it…

We got ours, but unfortunately it is only $20 off of a $75 dollar order, I can’t really spend that much right now 🙁
Melanie are you sure it is the birthday one and not another coupon? That is disappointing. Mine have always been $20 off any purchase. A reader just commented about a week or 2 ago that she got the same one.
Well today is my daughters birthday and the only thing we got was $20 off of $75. I thought maybe it was over, but now I’m bummed because apparently people are still getting them.

Oh well the card I received was not an email. It was a postcard in the mail. I receive other coupons from them but the birthday one is actually in the mail and it arrives sometime in the birthday month- not necessarily the actual birthday. My birthday is 12/12 and I think mine came closer to Christmas.

I signed up my daughters in September and their b-days are in October and November, and it’s now December and we never received anything.

Do you mean can you go into like a Barnes and Noble that sells Vera bags and use the coupon? It needs to be a Vera Bradley store. Sometimes they come a little late so if your birthday is in January you can expect it sometime during the month of January. They won’t mail them the day of your birthday, I assume it is all just one batch :).
I work at Vera and I know that we send out the cards the month before the actual birthday. At my store at least if you just say you didn’t get your coupon we give it to you.

Katie – sign up in your local store. And, everyone, FYI…I got my birthday coupon this month, and it was 25% off entire purchase card good at either a Vera Bradley store or verabradley.com. Or, I could use it as a 20% off at the Vera Bradley Outlet. I called my local store, and they are no longer offering the $20 off your purchase coupons to everyone. She said they are ‘changing the program up a bit’….boo!
