I have been waiting for Target to start the clearance on all the summer items. This is one of my favorite sales of the year and my store finally started marking things down today to 30% off.
Usually the summer clearance items don’t last very long but I do remember getting a few things for 75% off last year.
I found the children’s toys in the toy section marked down- I actually grabbed a Step 2 rope swing for $10.
Also all the items in the seasonal section were on clearance- chairs, buckets, dishes, pop ups etc… for 30% off.
I grabbed the adorable little plastic fruit baskets for $3.49.
They also have the cake mixes that are 4th of July themed as well as the Pillsbury pink lemonade cakes and cookie mixes on clearance. There is still a $.35 Pink lemonade coupon you can grab.
My store had all the Duncan Hines Frosting Creations marked down in the same section with the summer items. There is a printable coupon for a free flavor mix. There is also a Target coupon for $1/2 off frosting and the mix. You should be able to get an excellent deal with coupon.
Now clearance will of course vary from store to store but you might check your store out and see what you find. Note if there are no clearance tags listed it is always worth taking the extra step to do a quick price check. Sometimes the items are on sale they just haven’t added the signage.
Also don’t forget the Dollar Spot clearance- most stores are at 70% off now.
