Target: iPad Deals + $25 Gift Card

We don’t see many discounts on the iPad so I wanted to mention this deal. The new iPad is $499 and this week at Target you get a $25 gift card back. So, $474 after discount. This is only in store with a limit of 2.

The iPad 2 is available to order online and also has the same $25 gift card deal. Those are $399 so- $374 after discount.  Shipping is free.

Discounts are few and far between so this is probably as good as it will get for now.
You can see all the Target deals this week here.

I’m guessing I’d get my 5% discount with my Target credit card, too. With the $25 gift card, that’s a $50 savings.
Thanks for the ‘heads-up,’ Charlene. My 23-yr-old son has been talking about getting one. I completely missed the ad.

    Dee,

I think that is right but I wasn’t sure if those cards have any sneaky exclusions.

Dee: I got the Ipads yesterday at Target and I use my Target credit card so they gave me the 5% and on top I used the 5% off from my Pharmacy Rewards. I had to pay for the I pad at the Electronics session and they did not complain about giving me the 10% plus the $25 gift card.
FYI: I used the gift card to buy the Ipad cover that was on sale for $35 (normally $79) so I paid only $10 plus tax for the cover.
Happy shopping and don’t wait to long they were running out of inventory quick.

I just thought I’d share that i was able get the 5% Target card discount on the ipod bought at Christmas also. I’m certain that you couldn’t get the discount on the iphone though.

The $25 gift card is already considered under the listed price of the iPad 2 – at least online. When I check out, it says that the price of the iPad 2 is actually $424.99, but with the $25 gift card, the price of the iPad 2 is $399.99. Tricky!

    Beth,

It is really confusing how they have this set up but when I test it, the price is $399 at the end of checkout and then it says my $25 gift card ships 7/25.

What they do is add the price of the gift card which is $25 and then they take off the price of the gift card which is $25. So the price is actually $399 and then the $25 gift card comes in the mail.

It says in the details section that a $25 comes via mail.

” GiftCard will be sent to the same address as your order and will ship separately.”

But it is very confusing how they set this all up.
