If you haven’t tried making homemade popsicles yet, you can do this in just a few minutes with only 3 ingredients.
This week is HOT in California so I made these yesterday to keep my children cool today.
This recipe is mostly frozen fruit too so no guilt about giving the children something awful.

I used watermelon but most fruits would be delicious- or you can also blend a few fruits together for interesting flavors.
Blend 4 cups of chopped fruit of your choice
with 1/4 cup sugar (or you can reduce that or increase that if you prefer)
and add 2 tablespoons of juice. I used Simply Limeade but orange juice would be good too or even lemonade.
I blended it all in my Cuisinart until smooth.

Add to a popsicle mold.
If you don’t have a popsicle mold, you can use Dixie cups, old yogurt cups or anything small you might have on hand. I used plastic cupcake liners and a few of the children’s small drinking glasses.

Let this freeze for 2 hours or so and it should harden up enough to insert a popsicle stick. Let it freeze for another 2 hours or so to harden.
Remove from freezer and use a knife around the edges of the cup to loosen the popsicle and pop it right out.
My girls loved these today. Note the little paper cupcake liners. If you have some on hand just cut a small slice to insert the popsicle stick. It will serve as a little drip tray while you eat your popsicle.
And if you want a cold treat for Mom, you can make your own Starbucks Frappucino right at home!
