JC Penney: Free Haircuts for Children

07/13/2012. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

JC Penney sent out emails this morning about a promotion to give children K-6th grade a free haircut in August.

This should be available at all JC Penney locations nationwide.  It looks like they are limiting the number of appointments they are accepting per salon, so if you are interested in this offer I would call as soon as possible to book an appointment.

You can find a JC Penney location near you by entering your zip code here.

And you can scroll down here to find more fun and inexpensive activities for the kiddos this summer.

MJ July 13, 2012 at 12:16 PM

I love this, but we don’t have JCP salons in the Denver area! At least that’s what it indicated on the website.

Thanks! Got my girls appointment on Aug 1 just in time for school, they start school here on Aug 2. They are also having some free hotdogs and drinks on that day, at least here in our area Colorado Springs! Thanks again!

Sweet! Our JCP is doing any children under 12 so I got all three of my girls an appointment. Love it!

As a former employee of the salon, PLEASE TIP THE STYLIST!!! The stylist just went through change (reason I left 3 weeks ago) so realize the clerk at wWhataburger is making more per hour than these stylist, so please tip them!

Charlene August 2, 2012 at 6:28 AM

LOL Michelle, I can’t imagine anyone would go into a salon and not leave a good tip with a promotion like this but I guess it never hurts to remind people ;)

Alichia August 2, 2012 at 8:18 AM

Love it!!!! We r here today. Thanks for putting our children first!!!

funny unicorn August 2, 2012 at 11:01 AM

@Michelle: what would you consider a good tip for something that is free?? 3 dlls per kid? What about for 2 kids???

Renae August 2, 2012 at 11:59 AM

That is a terrific promotion. too bad it is only for k-6, I have 2 Jr high boys :(

haircuttr August 5, 2012 at 5:56 PM

I would say @ least $4 tip per child. I mean its a FREE cut.

DJ August 7, 2012 at 10:22 AM

@MJ–there is a salon in the JCP at Orchard Mall North of Denver. Off I-25 & 144th St.

Tony August 7, 2012 at 7:02 PM

What about fourteen year olds, are we eligible to participate?

Charlene August 7, 2012 at 8:05 PM

Tony,

I don’t actually work for JC Penney so you would need to call your local store and ask. I believe it is only through 6th grade but they might make an exception for you. :)

Rena August 10, 2012 at 5:28 PM

This is great but there are students all the way through college that could benefit from this, they are having to get ready for the start of school and the cost is greater as the student get older. So it would be great to expand this to all that have a student ID card.

Trinity August 21, 2012 at 1:19 AM

I JUST turned 12! Do am I still able to participate?

Jennifer August 21, 2012 at 1:23 AM

Does it matter what kind of haircut you get? Or are all cuts free period?

Charlene August 21, 2012 at 7:11 AM

Jennifer,

You would have to call your local store for specific information but any sort of haircut should be free :) .
