If you are not familiar with ING, this is a great time to check it out. We have had ING accounts for maybe 8 years now? It is an online banking system that is safe and easy to use.
Right now they are offering bonuses for those that open new accounts:
Open Electric Orange checking and earn a $152 bonus.
Here’s how it works:
Open Electric Orange between June 30th – July 3rd and make a total of 5 purchases (either signature or PIN-based) using your Electric Orange Card or Person2Person Payments (or any combination of the two) within 45 days, and a $76 bonus will be automatically deposited into your account by August 22nd.
Also earn $76 more for switching – Set up Direct Deposit and have two Direct Deposits of at least $250 post to your Electric Orange by August 31st, and your other $76 bonus for setting up Direct Deposit will be automatically deposited by September 10th.$17.76 Kids Savings Account opening bonus
Here’s how it works:
Open a Kids Savings Account between June 30th – July 3rd and we’ll put a $17.76 bonus into your new account. Only available when you open a new account with at least one new Customer (either you or the kiddo must be a new Customer to ING DIRECT and yes, the kiddo must be under 18 years old).
$17.76 bonus starts earning interest upon account opening, and is available for withdrawal after 30 days.
There’s no minimum deposit amount required.$27.76 MONEY account opening bonus
Here’s how it works:
Open MONEY between June 30th – July 3rd and make 1 Card transaction (signature, PIN-based or with PayPassTM) using your MONEY Card within 30 days. Keep in mind, the teen gets the Card.
Your $27.76 bonus will be automatically deposited into your account on day 35.
There’s no minimum deposit amount required.
So you have three choices there but the sign up bonus is only available for a few days.
This could be a great way to get your teenagers little practice bank accounts for any summer jobs they might have. I have accounts for our girls through ING. We get cash from the grandparents for birthdays and such and I usually use it to get them something small and then the rest goes into their savings accounts. My girls are so little that a lip gloss and treat for $2.00 is just as exciting as if I spent $40 on a toy most of the time.
Head over to ING here to see the options. This expires July 3rd so only a few days to check it out.
