I thought I would get a list together of free events that are available nationwide for children. Most of these activities are available weekly so perfect to keep the kids happy and engaged this summer!
::POTTERY BARN KIDS.
Free Storytime on Tuesdays from 11-11.30. You will receive a passport and after attending 5 storytime events, you will get a free gift.
There is also a special Father’s Day craft on June 16th for a $10 fee. They offer special events fairly often and you can pick up a little bookmark in stores with all the coming events listed.
::LAKESHORE LEARNING.
Free crafts for kids from 11-3pm every Saturday nationwide. This is a drop in basis and the list of crafts scheduled through July is available.
::BARNES AND NOBLE.
Free storytime on Wednesday and Saturdays at 11am. We have found the Saturday events to be a little more fun with coloring after storytime and cookies served.
There is also one special activity per month for summer: Lego in June, Leapfrog in July and Klutz in August. Dates and times vary by store.
::HOME DEPOT.
Free children’s workshops the first Saturday of the month. For children age 5-12 starting at 9am.
::LOWE’S.
Free kid’s workshops every other Saturday at 10am. These fill up almost instantly so you really have to register right when they are announced.
::LEGO STORE.
A free build once a month. Make a model and take it home for free. Designed for children aged 6-12.
::MICHAEL’S.
Passport to imagination crafts available several times per week. Many of these do require a purchase.
