Pottery Barn Kids: Summer Reading Challenge

Are you looking for a way to keep your kids’ brains working while school is out?  Well, Pottery Barn Kids has a Summer Reading Challenge for them to participate in this summer!

  • There are two reading programs – one designed for independent readers and another for reading together with your younger children.  Print out the necessary bookmark to keep track of the books read.
  • You can also download the Progress Tracker Poster so you can color in a book for each one read during the summer.
  • Once your child has finished the reading challenge, there is a Certificate of Completion that you can download and fill in!

As an added bonus, if your kids finish the challenge before August 22nd they can be registered to win one of five Pottery Barn Kids backpacks full of books and head into your local store with your kids under age 10 with their completed bookmark to get a prize while supplies last!

So maybe you can create your own reward system once the kiddos finish the book list?  Maybe a treat or a special event or a toy?  If you have a summer activity list, the kids might get one of those activities as a reward?

Also, Pottery Barn Kids offers a weekly Book Club. All kids are invited to story time on Tuesdays from 11-11:30AM. The children will receive an official Book Club Passport at their first story time and a special gift after attending five story times. Note: Time and date might vary by store – call ahead to verify.

What a fantastic treat! My kids walked away with a $20 and a $13 book. The award winning books were great to read.

Can I ask why this is only for children under 10? My daughter is 10 and can’t participate in it.

    Laura,

You would need to contact Pottery Barn directly. I don’t know why programs are set up with certain restrictions or limitations. Perhaps you can send the customer service department an email and inquire.
