Extreme Couponing started up again last night. I wanted to repost some resources for some of you that might be looking for more information today.
I personally do not watch Extreme Couponing- I find it to be a very unrealistic and misleading representation about how a normal family can shop week after week.
Most of us don’t have the time (hours upon hours upon hours each week) or inclination to pull together the kind of shopping trips showcased on the TV show. In addition, there is always a lot of accusations of fraud and unethical behavior- so just understand you can really learn a few tricks to stretch your dollars but you probably won’t come home each week spending $.42 for a carload of groceries.
So with that being said, here are a few resources to get you going:
- How to Get Started Couponing
- How to Determine a Grocery Budget
- Drugstore 101: Learning the Ins and Outs of Drugstore Shopping
- Using the FREE Coupon Database to find any coupon you need
And if you feel overwhelmed with using coupons or if time is a major concern for you, these might help:
- June Fresh Produce and Grocery Store sales cheat sheet
- Costco Price List
- Costco May/June Coupon Book Deals
- How to Save at the Grocery Store Without Using Coupons
- If you prefer to watch a video, you can see a vlog here on Understanding Grocery Sale Cycles
And last but not least, thank you for stopping by!!
You can check in to the blog regularly as there is always new content or you can subscribe to the free newsletters. You will get one email per day with a summary of all the posts within a 24 hour period.

Ugh I hate the extreme couponing show on TLC talk about misrepresentation!! It just takes a few bad apples to ruin it for the rest of us honest couponers! Okay I am off my soap box now. 😛
