Costco May Coupon Book Deals

05/02/2012. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

I have been toying with the idea of doing some Costco deals for awhile now. I know a lot of you love to shop at Costco and I do believe there are some great deals there.

I have a few things coming your way very soon from the Costco front but I wanted to first and foremost get a few coupon deals from the current booklet posted right away.

These expire May 6th so you don’t have much time to grab the deals. I am hoping that Costco pricing is pretty consistent nationwide, but these prices are from my store alone and there could be some variation.

Prego Pasta Sauce Heart Smart 2pk 67oz $5.67 with instant savings
*That is equivalent to 5.5 regular jars, so like paying $1.03 per jar.

PopTarts 48ct $5.99 with instant savings
*That is equivalent to 6 regular size boxes, so like paying .99 each.

Starbucks Via 24ct $12.74 with instant savings
*That is like paying $4.24 per box. Target beats that price this week at $2.99 with coupons.

Pierre Foods Angus Cheeseburgers $8.79 with instant savings (8ct)*
*These are shrink wrapped cheeseburgers that you heat up.

Tostitos Roasted Garlic and Black Bean Chips 26oz $4.59 with instant savings
*This is the equivalent of 2.8 bags. So $1.63 per bag which is a great price.

Hebrew National Hot Dogs 4 packs $8.99 with $3 off coupon
*This is the equivalent of $2.24 per pack which is a good price for these.

So those just happened to be the deals from the coupon book that I noticed this time around. Once the new booklet is released next week, I hope to be able to put together a more complete list.

*I bought these for my husband to have occasionally for lunch.  He says they are extremely good. They come with a patty, cheese and bun.

Yes!!! I love the idea of doing costco deals!! I always browse through the booklet but dont always know if something is a good deal or not because i dont know the original price. You’re the best!

I received the coupon book yesterday in the mail. The deals start 5/10 and go through 6/3. They have some pretty nice coupons this time around! Thanks for doing the costco match ups, I shop at costco weekly.

Charlene May 2, 2012 at 1:48 PM

Good Elizabeth, I will probably get mine today in the mail. I don’t think I can check the prices until the coupon book is in place though on the 10th just so we know it is all accurate.

Thanks for posting these! We are a big Costco family and love to see the comparisons to the deals we chase with coupons, because most of the time the products we buy with coupons at Costco are a better quality and value!

Amelia May 2, 2012 at 1:58 PM

Please, please, please do Costco match-ups! :)

Sarah May 2, 2012 at 1:59 PM

Thank you! I agree with Sharla! I always wonder if things at Costco are a good deal or not.

Theresa May 2, 2012 at 2:08 PM

Thank you! Please….you’d be the first ONE IN MY RSS Feed to do this! Love how you compared with other stores too. It’s also great to have a note on “this is definitely a stock-up price” or not. =)

Costco deals! I love it! I make it over there once or twice a month and sometimes the appeal of getting a lot of something outweighs the “is this a good deal?” part of my brain. :)
Thank you!

jessica May 2, 2012 at 2:13 PM

Yea! Thank you! Thank you!

Sarah May 2, 2012 at 2:19 PM

THANK YOU!!! Was really excited to see Costco deals listed. I love Costco and love it if you would start doing this regularly. Again, thank you!

I was at Costco this AM and they were sampling the Angus Cheeseburgers…they were really good!

Charlene May 2, 2012 at 2:25 PM

LOL well Theresa, I read very few money saving and coupon blogs personally so don’t tell me if others start copying the idea :P . It is near impossible to do anything original now-a-days so I prefer to stay in my little bubble and pretend I have something different to offer ;) .

mattie May 2, 2012 at 2:25 PM

LOVE that you may start to do Costco deals! Thanks!!!!

Katie May 2, 2012 at 2:31 PM

This is awesome! I’ve always wondered if the Costco coupon deals were as good as other couponing deals, but never had the time to do price comparisons. I really appreciate all your work!

Sahara May 2, 2012 at 2:38 PM

Charlene, I’ve gone to Costco thinking it was the day I can use there coupons, but it was the day before. It was frustrating to go back the next day. And I noticed a price increase on one of the items!

Nicole C May 2, 2012 at 2:49 PM

I love this idea too! love shopping at costco, but always worry that I am paying too much even with the coupons. thanks for the extra opinion, it helps!

Maria May 2, 2012 at 4:12 PM

WoW, this will be awesome! Thanks

Jessie May 2, 2012 at 4:51 PM

Costco addict here.. super excited! I remember a long time ago you saying you didn’t have a Costco membership and thought “how the heck does she not shop at Costco?!”
Thank you!

Carrie May 2, 2012 at 5:12 PM

I love this idea! Thanks.

Andrea May 2, 2012 at 6:35 PM

Yes, Please do more Costco deals. I love shopping there but I often wonder if I am getting better deals or not! Thank you!

Nat May 2, 2012 at 6:59 PM

Wowweeee Charlene, you are awesome! Not to mention ambitious…Thanks a million for doing the Costco match ups! I usually shop there only for the meat and a few random things (wipes etc) but I never know if the deals I’m getting at Costco are better than the stores, I get overwhelmed when I try to break down the prices, so this would truly be a welcome bonus!!

Sarah H. May 2, 2012 at 7:48 PM

Yes please! Do Costco matchups :) I’m excited like everyone else. Shopping with coupons and buying enough quantity to feed a large-ish family is difficult, so this would really help. The super cheap/free items are great, but the limited quanitites don’t go too far around here.

MichelleM May 2, 2012 at 8:25 PM

Thank you for doing Costco!! It will be super helpful to me. I like to get the few organic things they offer but don’t always know if other items are a better deal or not…

Charlene May 2, 2012 at 9:28 PM

Jessie, I shopped there for years. It made more sense when I lived in Seattle because we had the gas tanks there. Here I stopped going because we were doing the debt snowball and had a super tight grocery budget :) . You can’t shop Costco on a $30 budget very easily ;) .

Sarah May 3, 2012 at 6:11 AM

Thank you so much for doing Costco deals!

Renee May 3, 2012 at 7:33 AM

Thanks for posting these. It would be great if you could continue to post their deals, too.

Stel May 4, 2012 at 2:49 PM

YAY! Thanks so much!

momto3 May 10, 2012 at 3:22 PM

I know this is an older thread, BUT I just realized in the coupon book they have $50 off the Cuisinart multi-clad set–which drops it to $150. I bought a set of these almost a year ago via Amazon-$200 is what it’s usually priced at there. Researched for good Stainless Steel cookware–other than the super pricey All-Clad, and these were highly rated. I just got back from Costco where I bought another set to have. They are THAT good!

Charlene May 10, 2012 at 4:10 PM

Momto3,

I just spent today collecting prices from the new coupon book :) . I am hoping to get them posted tomorrow :) .

momto3 May 10, 2012 at 6:37 PM

Awesome, thats the fun part with Costco–getting the little Q books and flippin’ through them! Bought the foil today with the coupon, really needed foil, but didnt want to run around to get the cheapest price–but I think even with the coupon, it was still kinda pricey. But guess I’ll find out! tomorrow :)
