Here are some updates to the $5 Target gift card available this week on select personal care items. Now these prices are from my store and are not advertised so you may find a little variation at your store.
The two best deals I found include:
Dove Haircare items starting at $3.69
Get a Free $5 gift card with purchase of 4 items
Plus there is a Target coupon for a free styler when you buy 2 Dove haircare items
And a $1/1 Dove haircare coupon from 3/25 RP
or printable $1 off Dove coupon
I also found the Degree Adrenaline deodorant priced at $2.49
Use the $.50/1 from 3/25 RP
or the $1/2 Degree coupon
So I haven’t tried this myself but I think it could work like this:
Buy 1 Degree Men’s Deodorant at $2.49
Buy 2 Dove Shampoo or Conditioner starting at $3.69
Buy 1 Dove Styler at $4.49Those 4 items should prompt your gift card.
Then use the following coupons:Use $.50/1 Degree Deodorant
and use Buy 2 Get 1 Free Target coupon for Dove
and use (2) $1/1 Dove haircare coupons
Pay $7.37 and get back a $5 gift cardThat works out to $.59 per item!
If you can print enough coupons, I think the Degree is a really great deal too.
Buy 4 Degree Adrenaline at $2.49
Use (2) $1/2 Degree coupons
and Use $.50/1 Degree coupon
Pay $7.46 and get back a $5 gift card
Final Price: $.62
*I only found the one variety pictured at this price, the others were more expensive. You might scan the item if you don’t see a sale tag just to double check.

The prices at my store here in TX were higher.Dove at $3.89 and all deo for men $3.79.Next time I go I’ll scan that blue one and hope it’s the same price.
I was skeptical about this deal because my store didn’t have signs for the degree but I did the exact scenario above a couple of days ago and it worked perfectly.

Naomi, So just $.20 more on the haircare? That still seems like a good deal to me :). The blue deodorant was marked at one store and not tagged on sale at another one of my stores but it scanned at the lower price at both so maybe…

It says Save $1- so you printed and it is actually $1/2?
The printable is a $1 off 2 deodorants. I forgot to mention I went in planning on using my $0.50/1 Q however the same deodorant pictured above had a $1 peelie. There were plenty! Hope you guys get lucky too 🙂

Maribel- absolutely! You can use your $5 gift card on anything you want- even the exact same items- you just can’t use it in the same transaction. If the store is slow, I have been known to do one transaction and then ask to have another rung up separately so I can do that exact thing. Also, you can save your gift cards and use them online too!
