Safeway Ad & Deals 4/4-4/11

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!Be sure to read about the new Just for U program rolling out at Safeway!

***NOTES: The ad mentions Easter items up to 75% off. Also I noticed Betty Crocker cake sprinkles were $1.83 at my store. If you see that price too, use the $3/2 coupon from 2/5 SS or 3/18 SS and pay $.33 each.

If you shop April 4-8, you can get a Starbucks Grande beverage for $2.00.

Did anyone else get a coupon from the coupon center for the Keurig coffee maker for $89.99? It looks like it is for the one that is normally $119, and it expires 9/30/12. I have never seen them at our store.

Today at Safeway, the cashier told me you can’t use two of the same internet coupons in one transaction. Has anyone else had this problem? It has never happened to me before, so I wasn’t sure if this was a new policy, or just one they have never enforced.

I have never had that problem but last Tuesday I did come across a “if it doesn’t scan we wont take it”scenerio. A couple of my printables didn’t scan so the casher refused to take it. Seems like some stores are enforcing their own polycies!

    Yuseline,

The policy is actually if it won’t scan they don’t take it :(. That is only on internet coupons though and it is a stinker for the new bar codes especially.

    Kristina,

I don’t see anything about only allowing one like internet coupon. The policy is here:

Individual stores are allowed to come up with their own coupon rules, last time I checked.

Rule #11 states : “Safeway reserves the right to refuse any coupons at its discretion. ”

I had one cashier tell me that they didn’t accept free item coupons off the internet, therefore she wouldn’t let me use my BOGO internet coupon. I called the 800 # and they told me that individual stores can do whatever they want.

    Rita,

They can not just arbitrarily make things up each time you shop though. They can refuse coupons as the policy states but that is more for situations when there is fraud or something doesn’t seem right about the coupon.

The coupon policy does say that they won’t take internet free coupons- that has been the policy for awhile. There was a lot of fraud with free item coupons awhile back and many stores made that change. The policy says nothing about Buy One Get One Free but many people unfamiliar with coupons would consider that to fall under no free item coupons.
