Big Lots Deals 04/15 – 04/21

Remember that Big Lots does not accept coupons, but you can take your ad to Walmart or possibly Target to have them do a price match and use your coupons there. If you are not familiar with how this works there are details at the bottom of this post.

Here are a few highlights from this week’s Big Lots ad:

Vitamin Water Stur-D or Rhythm Zero 20oz – $0.50

V8 6pk – $3
Use $1/1 V8 100% Vegetable Juice 6pk Printable
Or use $1/1 V8 100% Vegetable Juice 6pk Printable
Final Price: $2

Sparkle Paper Towels 3pk – $2.90
Use $1/1 Sparkle Paper Towels, exp. 6/30/12 (ALL YOU Mar ’12)- if this coupon has no size restriction
Final Price: $1.90

Del Monte Light Peaches 150z – 2/$1.50
Use $1/4 Del Monte Canned Fruit Printable (share with friends)
Final Price: 4/$2 or $0.50 each

Big Lots also has a couple of nice deals on a carpet cleaner and vacuum:

Hoover SteamVac Supreme – $119

Dyson DC14 – $199.99

I am thinking that these are discontinued models so you may or may not be able to find them at other stores to price match. Therefore, if you are interested you would have to pick them up at Big Lots. I can’t imagine there is a huge supply of them so I would head in early.

***********

Now, if you are not familiar with how Big Lots works, here are the details:

  • Big Lots does not accept coupons, so to get these deals you will have to price match at Target or Walmart.
  • To price match at Target, you need to have the actual ad in hand and more often than not, Big Lots won’t send an ad in the Sunday paper. Walmart does not require the physical ad to price match.
  • Not all Walmart stores will honor Big Lots as a competitor to price match, so it is always best to call ahead and confirm.
  • The selection at Walmart and Target will vary.
  • So basically your luck will really vary and your best bet on these deals is probably going to be at Walmart.

I took the ad that I printed on my computer to Target last week and they would not price match without the actual paper from the store. This seemed strange to me.

    Kim,

That is the policy. You need the actual ad for Target. I made a note about that in the post. At Walmart you do not need the actual ad.

Target is very persnickety about price matching. They have also told me that they will not price match an ad price such as “2/$5”. The ad would have to say “$2.50 ea” … ridiculous

Well that is really stupid :P. I would be pretty dumbfounded to come up with a response. I could see making you buy 2 but not refusing altogether.
