There is a new Starbucks promotion starting March 8th and running through the 14th.
This is the same one they have done in the past, buy an espresso drink before 11am and they stamp your receipt. You can come back that same day and get a 2nd drink for 50% off. That is only after 2pm and only that same day.
So most of us are not hitting up Starbucks twice a day (“sorry kids- mommy drank the college fund”...) but I am sure I am not the only one that might have the kind of a day where two ‘Bucks are needed from time to time.
Last time they ran this promotion a reader suggested getting that second drink as an iced drink, come home and strain the ice cubes out and put in the fridge and you are ready for an iced drink the next day.
I am in the process now of making my monthly iced coffee batch so check back in over the weekend and I will post exactly what I do. I used to get Starbucks quite a lot and now these at home drinks I actually like a little better.
This was featured in the Safeway ad for this week so it is running at the kiosks as well as stand alone stores.
