Since I am a vegetarian, I am not a huge fan of hot dogs in the house. I know my girls love them and so does my husband but I usually try to sneak them the soy dogs instead of normal hot dogs. (works for the kids not for the hubs)
When I do buy regular hot dogs, I prefer Nathan’s for sure. These are a lot more expensive than some other brands but the quality is excellent. They are all beef and when you cook them you can just picture yourself right there at the ballpark.
Anyway, there is a good deal this week at Safeway stores- Buy One Get One Free $5.99/2.
You can grab a brand new Nathan’s Hot Dog Coupon for $1 off and pay $2.50 per pack. They don’t offer these coupons very often and they usually don’t last for long so grab it while you can!
See the rest of this week’s Safeway deals here.

I only buy Kosher all beef hot dogs and I don’t care if they are full price. There is something about the cheap dogs that grosses me out.

When my daughter was younger she had a dairy allergy (not a sensitivity, not lactose intolerant – an actual allergy). She’s since outgrown it, thankfully. But, I learned from her allergy doctor that hot dogs were the biggest source of anaphylactic reactions with dairy allergies. Reason? Because hot dogs (cheaper brands, obviously) contain meat from all parts of the cow, including udder meat. That totally grossed me out and sent me off to buying only Hebrew National dogs!
