There is a nice promotion available from ING right now. If you open a new checking account you can get $50 deposited into your account for free.
There is no minimum balance required. You just set up a checking account and you will receive a debit card for your account and you just need to use it as a debit card for a purchase or for a Person2Person transaction within 45 days.
Once you have done that, they will deposit the $50 into your account. (That is on the 50th day you have your account open).
