There could be an even better deal at Safeway this week on Nature Valley Granola Bars.
Buy Nature Valley bars for $1.79 with in ad coupon (limit 4)
Use (2) $.75/2 Nature Valley coupons from 1/8 GM insert
Pay $5.66 for 4 boxes or $1.42 each
Now Reader Nicole got the following catalina announcement at her Safeway:
Nature Valley Granola Bars (6ct or larger), Granola Nut Clusters or Granola Thins
Available 12/26/2011 through 01/22/2012
Buy 3, get $1
Buy 4, get $2
Buy 5 or more, get $3
If that catalina is available in your area, you would get $2.00 back on the purchase above- so a net price of $.91 per box!
Now Nicole actually sent me the catalina announcement but I don’t see it listed on Coupon Network. It could be nationwide or it could be a regional offer.
If you decide to try this and the catalina does not print, here are your options:
1. Keep the items for the $1.42 price
2. Ask the store for a refund at customer service
3. Try calling catalina marketing and see if they can mail the catalina. (That only works if your store is participating and again, I do not know if this is nationwide or only at some select stores.)

And thanks to Dawn too for posting about the Softsoap deal!
It printed for me at their sister store, Vons, in California.
the softsoaps that are on sale for $1 are the 7.5 oz size the coupons states 8 oz or more
I got the announcement of the catalina but haven’t tried the deal yet. I am in Gilroy, CA.
I received this printed Catalina offer at the Dallas, Oregon, Safeway a couple of weeks ago, so it should be valid at the Salem-area stores, as well.
The 3 coupons that Cheryl referenced are the catalina and 2 coupons for $1 off 6 count or larger Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Bars. These bars are included in the $1.79 with in-ad coupon. It appears to be a rolling deal. I used the cat plus 2 coupons on 4 Chewy Trail Mix Bars. I received the same 3 coupons (cat plus 2 coupons). This was in Sacramento area.
I got the Nature Valley Granola Bar’s catalina at a San Ramon, Ca. (San Francisco Bay Area) Safeway today with no problem. I also received the 2 NV chewy bars coupon’s that Amy mentioned.
Charlene maybe you could do a blog post about this to support our school systems This is long worded so you can tweek it to make it shorter just trying to get the word out about these programs
Wanted to make people aware of the new program the safeway family stores have rolled out. Its called 2ways2earn and it falls under the box tops for education program. Right now you get 10 Box tops for 3 general mills products and 30 Boxtops for 6 progresso soups. You have to link your store discount card at 2WAYS2EARN.com but this is a no brainer. You get .50 for your school of choice just for registering, you get your bonus box tops for purchasing the products plus the box tops you’ll clip and can send in to your school. This weekend I made $8 for my school from the bonus box tops plus another $3 i clipped from the packages. So support your local school even if you don’t have kids or there not in school yet because eventually the will go to your communities school. Theres also a similar program for some stores that don’t use discount cards its Growinglocallearning.com it gives you pretty much the same incentives but this also gives you extra $’s off your order if you purchase so many particiapting products and we all love money back. This weekend I spent a total of 3.92 for 16 boxes of the GV Bars which is nothing for that amount I kept rolling over transactions of 4 and my safeway doubles coupons I’m lucks but made like $12 dollars for my son’s school at the same time.
