i know this is probably a silly question… But are the inserts going to be there. Im just worried ill pay ten dollars for only the newspaper. Can i buy more than one subscription?
Not sure if you posted this last week or one of my other coupon queens, however if you have it mailed to you it does not include the coupon inserts per a phone call made to them. Someone may want to verify that again.
Darla, I am not following what you are saying? Who are the coupon queens? My name is Charlene and this site is called My Frugal Adventures. I have never heard of a newspaper being mailed? You need to live in Los Angeles to get this offer. If you don’t live in the Los Angeles area you won’t be able to have them mail you copies to another area.

I subscribed to the newspaper in the other town, but unfortunately learned since they mail the newspaper and don’t have a route in my area I wouldn’t be receiving coupons so I had to cancel.

I already have a subscription to the 52 week for $9.98 but at this price wanted to take advantage and subscribe for another paper… I just got off the phone with the L.A Times asking if I qualify for this deal (since I already have one) and figured I might as well ask about the coupon inserts, the representative’s reply was “Of course the coupon inserts will be included, unless there are no coupons printed for that specific week”…. so it include the coupon inserts and I was told that existing customers do qualify for an additional paper, what they won’t qualify for is renewal (adding to existing at the end).
Nat, I think the other reader was from another state and was looking to have the newspapers mailed to her home because this is a good price for a Sunday paper. I think that might have been the issue. Usually when I post newspaper deals someone from another state will ask if they can get it as well.

I’ll be honest, until I read the comments, I didn’t know that this was only for those within the LA area. I got all giddy when I read “$10 for a one-year Sunday paper subscription” thinking WOOHOO! It seems that papers here in Texas are sticking to their guns on their prices so I’m sure you can understand why I was so excited for a bit. 😉
LOL. Ok so I just assumed when people saw “Los Angeles Times” they would automatically know that the deal was only available to those that live in Los Angeles. I will be sure to note next time that you must live in the delivery area of the newspaper to get it.
Yes a newspaper can be mailed (I worked for one for years) however coupon and sales inserts are not included in mailouts to save on postage. Too bad deals like this can’t be found for all newspapers.
