Desitin Coupon (Free at Target!)

There is a new Desitin coupon available this morning.

This is a great one to grab and you might get really lucky at Target.

They have an unadvertised promotion running through 2/4 where you get a $5 gift card with purchase of (3) Johnson and Johnson or Destin or Aveeno items.

Now the 20% Bonus Packs of Desitin are priced at $2.48 at many stores.  If you get lucky and find (3) of those, the deal looks like this:

Buy 3 Desitin at $2.48
Use (3) $1/1 Desitin coupons or from 1/8SS or $1/1  printable here
Pay $4.44 and get back a $5 gift card!

If you only have one computer and you can only print 2 coupons, the price would be $5.44 with a $5 gift card back!

You can also mix and match the Desitin with other items. The soothing rash bath treatment is $5.99 and you can print a $1.50 off Desitin coupon.

I would grab that coupon while you can.  I am sure it won’t last long.  Just remember you need to look for the Desitin marked with a 20% bonus for the $2.48 price to work.  The other varieties are more expensive.

You might scan them at the price checker if they are not marked at $2.48.   use zip code 30033 if needed.

Update: I just went this morning and bought these items. My total was $7.88 with $5 back.  My littlest actually has terrible diaper rash today so the timing was perfect.

there is a $0.75 Desitin baby care item Target coupon… I’m not sure if it was mailed out since I found the baby coupons at the store.

I’ve decided the best way to do these deals where I’m not sure if I’ll find stock in my store w/out wasting ink. (I’ve thrown away a LOT of coupons lately!) I am going to check my store for this deal, and if I can find 3 of them, I’ll get them, and come home and immediately print the 3 coupons, then take them back in later and get refunded for the coupons!

Jennifer, I would do what works best for you but I think you might consider the value of your time as well.

There is this same printable coupon, but for $1.50 on http://www.coupons.com. Look under “Baby.”

Ozelle, I mentioned that coupon in the post. I believe the one you are talking about is for the bath tablets and not the rash cream though. The bath tablets are $5.99.

I was able to print out 4 coupons from 2 computers. Instead of buying 3 for free, I purchased 4 at $0.09 each. Still awesome deal!!!!!

Karen, did you find signs in your store? If you did not find any signs on any product anywhere that should be a red flag to you that there could be an issue. Maybe you have a rouge store or something that just isn’t participating. Second, did you find the products priced at $2.48? If you did, the worst possible case is that the gift card is not available and you spend $1.48 each. That is about 70% off the normal price- so the worst case still seems darn good to me. Third, there is never any reason to be embarrassed. Just walk up to the cashier and ask if the items have a gift card- hand 3 of them. If the answer is no just say thank you so much for your time and walk away. Or buy the items and go straight to customer service and return them. I mentioned it was an unadvertised promotion so unfortunately I have no way of confirming every single store will be participating and it is basically a tip offered for you to go out on your own and check and see what you find. Sorry it didn’t work out for you and hopefully next time things go better.

Freebie, I don’t think so. I heard from tons and tons of people all over the country that did this deal. The price you mentioned is what concerns me. Is there any chance at all that you didn’t get the right product? You found the exact same packaging I did that says 20% bonus pack?

If you happen to get inserts a day early like I do, there are $1 off coupons for desitin, aveeno, and johnson and johnson in the 1/8 SS

I was at my Target today. They were $3.29 and no $5.00 gift card was given to me. A total bust!

Hmm. Ok sorry you feel your time was wasted. I guess in the future I would just skip any unadvertised deals so that you don’t get upset. Again there were many, many people that did get this deal all over the country. It was not advertised though so if your store didn’t offer the promotion there is not much that can be done. For those that are complaining though, I would love to hear if indeed you did look on the endcaps of your store and on the shelf and did you see signs? I put a photo up of what they would look like. Also, I haven’t heard if anyone has confirmed that they purchased exactly the same identical box to the one I pictured? If you grabbed anything else besides the one in the photo the price will indeed be higher.

I live in South Texas and my Target didn’t have the 20% bonus desitin’s but I did try this deal with the Aveeno since smartsource had a $1.00 off coupon for baby products but it didn’t work. My daughter has really sensitive skin so I have to buy the aveeno bath products and thought that this would be a really sweet deal for those products. But I didn’t get embarrassed. I simply went to the checkout and asked the cashier to scan the 3 Aveeno baby washes to see if the gift card would prompt. It didn’t so the cashier asked the manager and the manager said he didn’t know anything about the deal. No big deal, the cashier simply put the items to the side and scanned the rest of my stuff. This deal will probably show up at my store in the next few weeks or so, seeing as how it goes through February. My store had plenty of stock on these items and these coupons don’t expire for a month so I’ll just hang on to them and see if the deal comes my way. To the unhappy shoppers: The thing about these kinds of deals is that they are regional. Which could mean that only some stores will have the deal or the deal will scatter all over the place (one week here, the next week there.) I would suggest that you don’t just go for one specific deal. Try to make a shopping list of the things you need. I do a bulk of my shopping at Target now that they have opened the food section at my location because you get 5% back with your target card. That’s just smart shopping! If you do plan on going for one specific deal, I would suggest calling ahead and inquiring about the deal and see if the store has enough products on the shelf so it isn’t a waste of your time… Perhaps that will help you… Charlene, you are AWESOME keep of the good work and thank you so much for posting these deals!

I sent my hubby to do this for me, and it didn’t work either even though he picked the items right up from the end cap display under the sign. I called Target and they confirmed it should have worked and told me to bring back in my receipt to get the gift card. My hubby couldn’t find the 4.8 oz 20% bonus though–it was a smaller, most expensive package. I’m tempted to return the packages, but then we lose the coupons. What to do, what to do. I will at least go and get the gift card.

Charlene, I just want to thank you for posting these deals. I love your site and refer to it everyday, and you have taught me how to shop wisely and saved me so much money in the process. Not only that, but I love all your personal feedback in your posts, I always feel like you describe everything as accurately and fairly as you can. Anyway, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and tell you how much I appreciate your site!

    Charlene,

Did you go to the Target on Fairway? I just got back from there and the ones you have pictured were priced at $5.99 (soothing rash) and $4.99 (box 20% bonus). I even brought them to the front to have them scanned. They didn’t prompt a $5 gift card either, but there was a sign. Today just wasn’t my day and I didn’t feel like grabbing a manager. They only had 2 checkouts open so I went to electronics and he didn’t even have a light to turn on to notify he needed a manager.

Yes. I am wondering if maybe Target changed the deal since it doesn’t seem to be working anymore. I am sure it worked for me and I personally spoke to a few friends in the SE and East Coast that did this deal around the same time and it worked fine.

There were signs up for the deal at the Target I went to (Austin, TX) last night. I didn’t have the coupons to try the deal but plan on going back this weekend.

Thanks Charlene. I live in Jackson, MS and was able to secure this deal 5 times. All the targets in my area had at least 75 boxes of the 20% bonus Desitin at each location on the end caps. However, the promotional signs were on the inner aisle display by the higher priced Desitin boxes. So, because of your post I knew that it would work for the $2.48 boxes as well. Thanks for all your hard work.
