CVS: Clairol Haircolor $2.99 + Free Pantene

Reader Ronni passed on a good deal she found on Clairol haircolor at CVS.

Clairol is priced at $5.99 and if you can find the value packs that have a free travel size Pantene, those should be generating a bonus $2 ECB.

The free Pantene is actually a pretty good size at 200ml not the tiny travel size- as you can see from the photo.

Anyway, those boxes seem to generate a $2 ECB until 1/28. Ronni says the box also included $27 in P&G coupons:

$1 CoverGirl Product
$7 Crest 3D Whitestrips
$1 Olay facial moisturizer or cleanser
$1 Tampax
$1 Secrect Clinical Strength
$10 Braun Electric Shaver
$2 Prilosec OTC
$1 Olay Body wash or lotion
$1 Pantene Expressions
$2 Venus Embrase razor or disposable

So the deal looks like this:

Buy Clairol bonus pack at $5.99
Use $1/1 Clairol Product, exp. 1/31/12 (P&G 01/01/12)
Pay $4.99 and get back $2 ECB
Final Price: $2.99

And then you get the Pantene and the coupons.

This was not featured in this week’s ad but it I think it is a month long deal at CVS. Β The sale price is for this week only though and just be sure you get the package pictured above with the free Pantene.

Thanks Ronni!

I bought a box of Natural Instincts on clearance for $2.37 yesterday, used a $1 coupon and it still triggered the $2 ECB. The box I bought didn’t have a Pantene bottle attached.

Wow! That is awesome, it’s the brand I use, so will be heading to CVS soon…I do have a couple of the P& G coupons and thought I’d buy 2-3 boxes at that price, has anyone tried buying more than one box? If so did it print $2 ECB for each or just once?Wondering if theres a limit…

Nat- I can’t find a limit listed anywhere but check the bottom of your receipt after you buy the first box. It should say a limit if there is one.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly, Charlene. Will do that and will update if I have any issues. Figured a great price to get a couple since I’m needing to touch up my sprouting greys (yikes) every 6 weeks these weeks!

I checked 2 different CVS’s in my area and couldn’t find the bonus packs of the haircolor. BUT… did find lots of Natural Instincts on clearance 75% off. They ring up $2.24 AND trigger the $2 ECB. I had a $2 off any Clairol coupon form the P&G “Have You Tried This Yet” booklet making this a $1.76 MM! If you only have the $1 off coupon, it will still be a MM! πŸ™‚
Thanks so much for the heads up on the above deal…I would not have even looked at haircolor today if I didn’t see this post πŸ˜‰

Oh and btw; my receipt said for the Nat Instincts ECB: Qty toward this reward is 1 and Qty needed to earn reward is 1.
Not sure how to interpret that??? At a price of $2.24 less a coupon I would still certainly buy this even without the ecb…but that just makes the deal even better!

Thanks! I found the very last one with a bonus packet at my Cvs and I was shocked it was the exact color I use!! Yeay… But nothing was on clearance though, It was $5.99 with card. I scanned a couple on the red machine butall showed up sane. Were there signs/tags? I’ll check another cvs for that. My reciept also said 1 limit reached so I guess there is a limit one per cvs card. Bummer …Might send my sister off to pick up another for me on her card.

I found the same deal last night. My CVS had some of the Natural Instincts on sale for $2.37, I used the $1 coupon and a $1ECB and my final price was $.55 with a $2 ECB back! I was so excited that I went back for another one and used my $2ECB that I just got…same price $.55 and another $2ECB printed πŸ™‚
Also wanted to mention that I went to Smiths after and found Ortega taco shells on sale for $1.36 with a $1 off coupon on the box so it made them $.36 each…great price!
