Update: Ok so there was some pretty nasty stuff going on Brita’s Facebook page and they have changed their minds and said once again they will be honoring the rebates. I would very strongly suggest getting that rebate in if you purchased a pitcher or you intend to purchase a pitcher because there are no guarantees they won’t change their minds again.
Well it looks like the Brita water rebate is no longer available. Brita has reached the limit of rebates they can accept so if you are planning to buy a pitcher just understand you can try submitting the $10 rebate form but most likely it won’t be honored.
While that may be disappointing, I do appreciate that they let people know now rather than waiting several weeks to send some form letter out.
On the upside, from what I understand, Walmart has these for less than $6. You can still use the $4/1 from 1/15 SS and pay $2 or so for a pitcher! That is a great deal to me!
If you already mailed your form off, hopefully you will get your rebate check back. There is a chance it won’t be honored so if you have not yet opened the box, you can always return the product for a refund.

That is so not cool. I bought the pitcher at CVS and sent it in 3 days ago. If it was available then, it is really not my fault and they really should honor it. Otherwise they should have posted that, front and central on their website.

Wow, did you read what people are posting on Facebook? People type things that they would never say to an actual person. But, I’m sure you get crazy stuff everyday. Wow is all I can say.
Yeah… I know. I see it everyday. I know I saw it right on the page myself over the weekend but they pulled it and it is a good lesson to everyone that when it is gone it is gone- including me. I had a nice day today for a few hours at a play date and was in a great mood and then I came online and had people mad at me and I was grumpy the rest of the day ;). I see being disappointed but I don’t usually get really worked up about things myself.
Ana, sometimes these people that moderate the Facebook walls could be mistaken but I would just assume they won’t honor anymore to be safe. I hope you got a good deal and I hope you like your pitcher!

Actually I really appreciate it that you took the time to inquire and then post about it. It is helpful to know so that I look out for that rejection letter, and actually give them a call when I get it.
Again what you do is wonderful and do not let people get you down about these things! I paid about 6$ for it OOP (or rather with CVS ECBs). So not all that bad either! Cheers 🙂
Oh I didn’t think you were mad at me although I am going to get in trouble and I am prepared for that. 😉 It was for sure my fault because I posted after the thing was taken down. I make mistakes in judgement from time to time and this was one of those occasions. Such a shame this year is starting off a little stinky- some orders cancelled here and there and now this rebate thing. So funny I don’t remember this many problems in a row in years and now all at once. Maybe this will be the end of it.
How could anyone be mad at you for this? No, I didn’t do this deal this time because I didn’t TRUST THEM. I bought it back in November when they suddenly pulled the rebate and stopped honoring it. What is the expression …fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Because of their past history I would never trust this company to get a rebate. Thank you for all that you do. As far as the Penney’s orders being cancelled… my little niece got the table and chairs yesterday that I ordered with the $50 gift certificate and she was thrilled. She is happy and I only paid $6 shipping so I am very happy. I think this is going to be a wonderful year. Thank you so much.
charlene, I mailed in my form for brita 2 days ago! This sux…but oh well…ofcourse its not your fault, but I have a question:I would return the pitcher that I bought but I sent in the reciept just like they asked on the rebate. How do I go about returning it or getting my reciept back? Would you know…Im probably going to end up staying with it…Im so bummed out. But it is what it is…Thanx for all the hard work you do
