I was really annoyed about this deal a few days ago because I knew it was coming and then the darn thing sold out pretty much before I was even awake the next day.
So I am going to go ahead and give you advance notice that this will be available starting around 6am EST 12/30. If you are a West Coaster like me, I really hope it isn’t sold out by the time we are up and online.
Here is the deal- for $28.00 you will get a $20 Starbucks gift card plus (2) movie ticket vouchers to redeem at Fandango.
The movie tickets are valued at $24 so this is a really good deal.
Both vouchers will come via email (I have used Starbucks e-certificates before and you just print them out and use it each time you go or I believe you might be able to add it to an existing gift card. You can also use it online.)
Here is the fine print:
- Both tickets must be purchased together in the same transaction for the same movie and showtime
- Excludes IMAX movies
- Promo Code is valid only for Internet purchases made at www.fandango.com for Fandango partner theaters located in the U.S.
- Promo Code cannot be redeemed directly at any of Fandango’s partner theaters, via Fandango’s telephone service or through any other website operated by third-party merchants accessible from the Fandango website
- Fandango voucher must be redeemed at Digital Doorstep by April 1, 2012. Fandango e-gift card must also be used by that date.
Again, this offer may not be available until sometime tomorrow morning but you should be able to purchase the vouchers here.
Yeah, I was looking at the Starbucks clearance at Walmart dot com when it started vanishing.

I missed this the other day and I was annoyed too! I kept clicking the link that day hoping they would restock. 🙂 So, I was super excited to see the deal reappear this morning and not be sold out by the time I got up. You can’t beat $4 movie tickets!!

is anyone having issues redeeming the vouchers received from this deal…i keep trying to enter it on digitdoor step and both my codes are invalid. it’s been 3 days….am i missing something? and the support team at digit door step has not replied and plum district is not open yet.
I’m having issues redeeming as well. Figured they were closed for the holidays, but it’s still not working for me even today.
They posted on the Facebook wall that they were having some problems. You can just comment there and I am sure they are working to get it fixed.
As promised after 1PM, January 4th Voucher codes will work. Fandago worked and not the Starbucks one. Kind of annoyed and waiting for response. I got a generic message that Digital Doorstep is having problems. And now my Starbucks code says it’s been redeemed and I never received my deal code. I really want some coffee 🙂
Silvia, I’m getting the same error messages. Hard to be patient for long without my Starbucks :). I wish the Starbucks had worked not the Fandango, I can do without movies for a while.
FYI – Plum District is issuing full refunds for this deal because of the issues with Digital Doorstep. Even if you were able to eventually get your redemption codes they might not work if you haven’t used them already. More info on their Facebook page.
