Roku 2 XD $62 Shipped

This is funny, the last few days my husband has been talking endlessly about this Roku 2 and asking me to find a deal on it. Apparently it is a pretty cool device to stream movies. He is a huge sports fan and the Roku gets you access to games you might not otherwise get to see. My husband wants to watch the MLS games but it also has NBA League Pass, MLB.tv, NHL Gamecenter and more.

And now the Roku 2 XD is currently the deal of the day priced at $61.99 and shipping is free.  That is marked down from $80.

The deal of the day has now sold out but here is another option for just a  few dollars more.

We tried it, but all the extra tv and sports channels we wanted were an extra fee, so we returned ours. 🙁

Kim, did you get the Roku 2? He says that is the one he wants. My husband is pretty thorough about researching this kind of stuff but I will ask him about that.

Might want the XS from the Amazon reviews I just read. Got one for Xmas and am praying the young adult kids [who got it for me!] will help me set it up!! Tech challenged here….I finally turned off cable to save about $50/month and have been complaining ever since.

I have a roku and love it. We mostly use the netflix and amazon channel. Between the roku box and the Internet we were able to get rid of our 100 a month satellite bill. This being said, we dont watch a lot of sports. If you did the paid channels are a lot cheapier then a cable or satellite bill. I planned on getting hulu but have found we don’t need it. I feel like we watch less Tv shows which I feel is a good thing. If you have any questions about it Charlene please email me, I my roku boxes!

Jenny and Charlene, if I may ask a couple of questions please??

With a roku box will I still have access to the free National channels like ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, etc? Can I at least still get those in real time/LIVE? This is what ha bothered me the most- from what I had heard hulu is a delay situation altho I don’t know if that is the same for a roku box?

I didn’t get an antennae either so I have been totally without tv for over a month and while it has been an interesting experience wherein I did NOT lose my mind- I am missing out on a lot of news stuff, celebs, 😉 and HGTV, etc!!!

And I would SO TOTALLY LOVE to watch the Clippers beating the Lakers- evil, I know!

    Thank you for your help!!!

🙁 It’s sold out now. I’ve been trying to get a good deal on this. Oh well.
