Here is a cool program. I haven’t heard of this before so any of you that have more information please share it below!
It looks like military personnel can get free Christmas trees right now through a charitable organization that delivers to different bases around the country.
If you are a civilian you can also donate to the cause and help support this program.
See a list of base schedules for this year here.

Green Acres in Roseville, CA gives free tree’s to families who have an immediate family member (Parent, Spouse) deployed or active in the military. All you need to do is show your military ID. Last year they also gave two free poinsetta’s with each tree.
I’m trying to get a Christmas to send to a troop stationed in Afghanistan….my nephew is deployed there, and he sent an e-mail asking for a tree for his troops….I seen your site and was wondering if you could help me out, or know how I might go about this….I can’t really afford one myself, but thought I’d try to call around…any help or information on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated…Thank you so much…and have a beautiful Christmas
