The Cricut Expression Personal Electronic Cutter is a good price today at $149. That includes free shipping and it will arrive before Christmas.
I just saw this featured on sale for $199 in a craft store ad for today so this seems like a good price to me.
The features include:
Product Features
- Electronic cutting machine for scrapbooks, classroom decor, signage, and more
- Cartridge system requires no computer; cuts from 1/4 inch to 23-1/2 inches
- Easy-to-read LCD screen; 6 modes; 4 functions; portrait or landscape orientation
- Comes with Plantin SchoolBook font and shape cartridge, and Accent Essentials mini shape cartridge
- 21-1/2 by 7 by 7-3/4 inches; instructional DVD and 12 by 12 inches cutting mat included
You can also check out the two other Cricut machines I posted here.

Just so you all know… the cartridges can run from $30-$70 or more… BUT you can go to the Sure Cuts A Lot website, pay the $70 (one time fee) and it allows you to design, copy, create, resize, etc anything that you want on your computer — then your Cricut will cut it out! It is a much better deal if you want more freedom and a lot less cost than the cartridges…
Also, I bought mine last year from HSN.com because they often have excellent package deals. I got the machine, 2 packs of markers, vinyl, etching paste, extra blades, extra mats, all the “tools” for removing the paper, etc for a total of $300. That was a better deal than buying the machine and those items separately!
Happy Crafting!
Sure Cuts A Lot is no longer available for the Cricut due to Provocraft suing the makers of SCAL. If you want freedom to cut any dingbats or TTF’s on your computer check out the Sure Cuts A Lot website and see what machines they have software for. I’m currently trying to decide which one to switch to now that my Expression is on it’s last cutting leg, so to speak
I always wanted one of these, but yanno, it’d just be another “thing” sitting around gathering dust. ๐ Looks like a fun thing to play with though.
