If you can use the pink Leapster 2 it is a great deal on Amazon but this is a hot item so grab it fast.  The price is $24.99 (pink not green) and shipping is free on a $25 order.

You just need a very cheap item for a filler to get that free shipping-there are DVDs for $1.99 right now.

Does anyone have one of these Leapsters….review of the product? My girls are 3 1/2 & I’d like to get them some type of handheld device with learning games. Just not sure which one. The more I read about the different Leapster products the more I’m not sure which one to get. And then there’s Vtech items too? ???

I just snatched this up for my 3 1/2 yr old but I’m not sure if she’ll understand it yet. Couldn’t wait around on this great deal! We have the Tag Jr. reading system but she’s not crazy about it….plays with it every so often. Hopefully she’ll be able to get the hang of this and it will be useful on car rides!

Jen, my son is 3 (in 4 days) and has had the LeapPad for about a month, LOVES it–took him about a week to get the hang of it! Never had the leapsters but heard good reviews!

Jen- I don’t know about this but I grabbed it because a friend highly recommended it to me. We’ll see 🙂 My girls always want my phone and my iPad so maybe they will get some use from this.

Oh, I hope this deal comes up again. The Leapster 2 is the now-somewhat-obsolete version since the Leapster Explorer came out. But games for it are still sold and I saw some deals last year for games for $10. I’ve actually read better reviews about the Leapster 2 than the Leapster Explorer and the Explorer is way more expensive, and of course, games are not interchangeable between the two. So if you’re just getting into games like this for your kids, this is a great place to start, in my opinion.

It’s showing up as both pink and green being 39.99…did I just miss the deal?
