CVS: More Free Illy Coffee!

11/01/2011

Share

I think CVS feels that my affections have waned a little the last few months and they are making it up to me now.

I heard from readers Anna and Endcapps that they went back to CVS and scored another free coupon for Illy coffees!  I went to check it out myself and sure enough coupon #2 popped right out for me!

If you missed it, here is the deal- this week the CVS coupon scanner is giving out coupons for a free can of Illy coffees.  Usually there is a limit of one coupon on these free offers but it looks like as of today, it is printing one free can per day!

The Illy is priced at $2.00 and the coupon value is up to $2.49.  As I mentioned previously, the CVS coupons typically scan for the full value.  So you might have something extra to cover the overage- although I am not promising that you will get overage- it is fully within the rights of CVS to adjust your coupon down to $2.00.

Anyway, the store I went to yesterday was out of stock so I tried another store today and got 2 cans for $2.00 plus a Pellegrino for $.99.  My coupons went through at the full value of $2.49 which left me with $.98 overage toward that Pellegrino.

My grand total was $.16 and that is because California charges an extra $.05 CRV tax on beverages.

Yeah!

Woohoo! I went out late last night and got my free can and saved it for our rough candy-induced sleeping in this morning. In Florida, the cans are priced $2.49 so no overage, but definitely worth the trip for free coffee! Thank you, Charlene!

Kathleen- the cans were priced at $2.49 in my store but I scanned them and they were actually $2. If you didn’t do a price check you might get lucky :)

wow, i’d love a free bottle of the flavored pelligrino but I did get my free illy coupon #2. ;0

My CVS had them priced at $2 as well but I got the full $2.49 off. And WHY would you show that San Pellegrino soda?! Those are my FAVE but they are so expensive!

Ashley it was yummy with lunch :)

Karen I used the overage for the Pellegrino. It wasn’t free otherwise. I could have grabbed anything.

Hi Charlene,
I have a question, but not about this post.
It’s about Farmer John smoked sausages. I can’t find them anywhere. I tried Walmart, Savemart, Target. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong aisle?
Did you have luck finding them?

Charlene November 1, 2011 at 3:27 PM

Tayana, I have not looked because we don’t eat sausage. They should be at Walmart or maybe Winco? I know for sure they aren’t at my Target. Can you ask on Farmer John’s FB page or email them and ask?

Not sure why, but I didn’t get the Illy coupon. I got another $5 off $20 facial skincare and $1 off Kellogs crunchy nut cereal. I’m in SoCal.

Charlene November 1, 2011 at 4:34 PM

Court, you kept scanning until it said no more coupons right?

Endcapps November 1, 2011 at 4:53 PM

I am 3 for 3 — got my third free illy

Endcapps November 1, 2011 at 5:03 PM

Charlene paid $.16 OOP, most of it CRV… But with Green Bag Tag scans valued at $.25 each (4 scans=1 ECB) she got her drinks better than free!

Melanie November 1, 2011 at 5:16 PM

Good to know, I’ll swing back by tomorrow. Got one tonight-on sale for $2 and got the full $2.49 Yay! And THANK YOU for telling us about scanning more than once, I had no idea and got that coupon on my second scan :)

Court November 1, 2011 at 5:52 PM

Charlene, I didn’t know I could scan it more than once – thanks! I’m going to try again.

I’ve gotten two this week! Love it!

shelly November 1, 2011 at 8:05 PM

It must be printing every day for the Free Illy because I received 3 so far. I’m done shopping for this week so I won’t be testing it for a 4th.

Court November 1, 2011 at 8:27 PM

I tried again and it worked perfectly. I thought my store was out of them, but then spotted them hanging on the side of a Coke display near the register. Weird.

Liz E. November 3, 2011 at 1:49 PM

My store was out of the 1 oz., so I just got two 2.5 oz. for $3.69 ea… FREE after ECB! Still a great deal! And the free coffee!
