   i read on the budget queens blog that safeway accepts walgreens register rewards i never heard this before do you know this to be true

   Cheryl,

   I am not familiar with that site but a long time ago Safeway issued a coupon policy that was misread to mean they took Register Rewards. They clarified the issue and this is what the policy says:

   6. Safeway will not accept manufacturer coupons (including, but not limited to, coupons issued through a Catalina or other in-store coupon dispenser) that display another retailer’s logo or name unless such coupon is for a specific item with the same product identifiers as the product included in our customer’s purchase transaction.

   So no they do not take them unless maybe there are special stores that bend the policy or something.
