There is a fairly good deal at Toys R Us this week but the stinker is you need to get yourself over there today because the coupons expire.

Here is the deal- Toys R Us is having a special Bonus Savings offer:

  1. Get $5 Bonus Savings on any total Hasbro game purchase of $25 or more
  2. Or Get $10 Bonus Savings on any total Hasbro game purchase of $30 or more
It appears the bonus savings is coming off at the register but this is not clearly outlined in the weekly ad so there is a chance of an unpleasant surprise when you go to pay.
If you have the coupons, here are some deal ideas:

Buy six (6) $5.99 games – Memory, Chutes and Ladders, Cootie Game or Candy Land – $35.94
SUBTRACT $10 Bonus savings for being over $30
New Subtotal = $25.94
Use six (6) $3/1 Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Memory or Cootie game coupon from 9/11/2011 SS insert
Final price = $7.94 for all six games, only $1.32 each!

or
Buy Scrabble, Sorry or Monopoly $8.99
Buy four $5.99 games – Memory, Chutes and Ladders, Cootie Game or Candy Land – $23.96
Subtotal = $32.95 (plus tax)
SUBTRACT $10 Bonus savings for being over $30
New Subtotal = $22.95
Use one (1) $4/1 Monopoly, Life, Sorry, Scrabble, or Jenga 9/11/2011 SS Insert (exp 10/9/2011)
Use four (4) $3/1 Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Memory or Cootie game coupon from 9/11/2011 SS insert
Final price = $6.95 for all FIVE games? That’s only $1.39 each!

If anyone decides to try this out let us know how it works for you!

You can see more great deals from the Toys R Us ad here.

Worked for me just fine. I only had 4 of the $3 coupons so bought Cootie, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland and Memory. I didn’t need any of the $8.99 games so bought the E-Card Monopoly game (which my son wants for Christmas) for $16.99 and used my $5/1 coupon. $10 did come off at register. I paid $13.95 for all 5 games. The 5 games normally retail for $66.95!! Great way to use up those coupons right before they expires.

If you spend $60 will it take off $20? Or do they have to be separate transactions? Thanks.

I wouldn’t think so Sallie. I don’t think Walmart would honor an instant discount.

oh man, we just moved from Portland, Oregon to a small town in Kansas. its deals like these that make me wish I was in the city again and not an hour away from the nearest TRU. These would make great holiday donations!! Bummer!!

I was very unhappy! I went through after a women infront of me did the exact same thing. My $10 did not come off and the manager would not honor the $10 off. πŸ™ I voided the transaction and left. I wrote a kind note to the company.

Debbie, I had a terrible time with the Dumbo promotion and swore to never return πŸ˜‰ I spent ages on the phone with corporate and got no where at all. I am convinced they are the least customer service oriented company out there.

I had some coupons but not all. Purchased 1 Chutes and Ladder, 1 Sorry, 1 Bop It Bounce, and 1 Hi Ho Cherry O (no coupon) for a total of $12.97 = 4 games = $3.24 each including tax. I’m happy w/my purchase. This may even give me a head start on next year’s birthday or Christmas presents!!!
