The staples rewards come as an email next month (at the soonest) so there’s no “rolling”. Also, the last time they did this, I used some type of coupon and my reward only came for the amount I paid – so you won’t “make” any money on this. But, it’s still a great deal that I will make a trip to Staples for!

Do you have to sign up for the rewards program? I usually go to Office Depot because it is closer, but they just opened a Staples and I haven’t tried it out yet. Thanks for the deal, that is fantastic!
Nicky says
Does anyone know the actual price for the batteries? If buying both comes out to being over $25 then there’s a coupon for $5/$25 which will help with the out of pocket cost
Jen D. says
Anyone know what the price will be on these?
Stephanie says
To be clear, Can I use a Staples reward check to purchase these and expect to get a rebate check for these?
Michelle says
I just signed up for a staples rewards account. Can I order the batteries online and receive the reward or do I have to purchase them in-store? I can’t find the answer on staples.com and their customer service isn’t open. Thanks!
Kris says
Stephanie – I’m pretty sure that if you use a reward check to pay for them, you will only get a new reward for the amount you paid in “real” money. So, if the batteries are $10 and you use $5 of reward money, and $5 cash, your new reward will only be $5.

Kris is right. You get back the amount you actually pay. If you use other reward money to pay your new reward you are earning is reduced by that amount. I still love it when they offer this deal, even though you have to pay the money up front, you get it all back in rewards the next month. I like to use my reward money to buy printer paper and photo paper that have the rebate check deals. That way you get the batteries free, stock up on paper, and end up getting your money back in rebate checks. 🙂

christen answered a lot of my questions. TY!
I was in Staples today planning to buy batteries and HP mulitpurpose paper.
Looked up batteries online and they were about $15,
Thought I saw that paper is 5.99 ea with$4 rebate.
Store had shippers of AA and AAA 16ct batteries marked 9.99 each
HP paper had no rebate info, there was an abbreviated ad that didn’t include it and someone ‘looked it up online’ and told me it wasn’t a current rebate item (insert growly noises here). Left empty handed.
Just looked it up online and there *is* a 3.99 rebate on HP 8.5’x11″ mulitpurpse 500 sheet ream -item330558
Online ad last page is a printable 5/25 expires 22nd
So tho wasted trip today (more growls), tomorrow plan:
19.98=2 batteries – 2 x .50Qs (didn’t get $1/1)
05.99=HP paper
less 5/25= 20.97, get 19.98 rewards, 4 EasyRebate
Now I have an idea of what to expect and
hope the rewards come in time for Black Friday 😉
Still not clear on how much will get back in Rewards using a 5/25 and MQs but hope that adding paper will cover that.
