So I did pop into Safeway this morning to check the Buy 4, Save $4 promotion.
I wanted to mention a few quick highlights for you that I found. Just note these prices are not listed in the ad and you may not find the exact same thing I did.
Skippy Peanut Butter is $1.59 when you buy 4 items total
Through 10/29 only, you should still get a $1 catalina coupon when you buy 2.
Final Price: $1.09 each!
The catalina is strictly for Skippy Natural PB!
It looks like the $1 cat is printing for every 2 that you buy so:
Buy 4 Skippy Natural at $1.59
Pay $6.36
Get $2 catalina coupon back
Final Price: $1.09 eachOR
Buy 2 Skippy Natural at $1.59
Buy 2 Bertolli Pasta Sauce at $1.49 (projected price)
Use $.75/2 Bertolli Coupon
Pay $5.41 and get back a $1 catalina
Final Price: $1.10 per item
The store I went to this morning was still hanging tags and the Bertolli was not yet marked. I think this is a great price to stock up on peanut butter and if the Bertolli is $1.49 that is a great price as well.
You can print several Bertolli coupons right now- including $1.50 off 4. That would make the sauce just $1.12 each!

I bought 6 Skippy natural peanut butter yesterday in 1 transaction and 3 $1 cats printed for me. I don’t know if Safeway’s sale would change that but as of yesterday morning at 8:00, it was fine in 1 transaction.

I got a $2 Cat for purchasing Swanson broth that is B1G1F (I think I bought 6???)
Tricia I know about that cat but the broth was $3.00 at my store. Did you buy the kind in a carton or the new flavor booster ones?
I still have coupons that state “save $1 on best foods mayo and skippy pb.” Maybe somone still has some of those. It would bring the cost down even more if needing mayo. It does say you could buy any 2. So I am ganna try to use 2 pb with them.
Bobbie the Best Foods is 2.49 with in ad coupon for 30oz. I think that is a good price. I had the $1.50 electronic coupon from a few weeks ago and paid .99 so that might still be out there. I don’t have it in my account anymore.
I bought Skippy today, and did NOT get a Catalina (Sacramento) tried 2 different registers. Also, the Bertolli is $1.49 after the promo price also, and there is the $.50 off from the MDA coupon books

I have a j4u personalized price for bertolli pasta sauce for $1.88. Does that mean i get them for $0.88 with the buy 4 save 4 promo. If it does this means an even better deal with the mq for $1.50/4. Fingers crossed…..
Just went to two different Vons. I purchased 4 at each store. Both times I received 2 CATS for $1 off!!!
Lana, yes it should work that way! If you do buy the Bertolli will you let us know if you get a cat back? There is one out there but I don’t know if it is running at Safeway or not.
When I went to Safeway today the regular price of the peanut butter was $3.59 and $2.49 wyb 4 so $2.09 after the cat. not great for me
No that is actually a terrible price. I was a little nervous that Safeway would raise prices again like they did with the Capri Suns. Maybe that is what happened 🙁
So i jz came back from safeway and did the berolli deal and no catalina printed for me. Still it is a great deal with coupons. Plus i stocked up on really good candy for the kids bithdays in the next couple of months. A few other items and still saved 75%. I felt like i stole from safeway. Lol
I bought 4 Skippy Naturals – they came to .90 each. then I got 2 catalinas. Don’t know how I did it, but I did. BTW – my price on the store shelf also said buy 4 for $2.49 each.
