Ok so here is the bad news for the day. If you have not made it over to Safeway to get the Capri Sun that is on sale this week for $.99 a box, it looks like you might be out of luck.
There is a juice promotion this week- Buy 4 and get $4 off. You can see from the photo above that the Capri Sun was priced at $.99 each when you bought 4. Now I took that photo myself and I told you about this deal on Wednesday.
My husband actually went to Safeway on Thursday to prepare for a Halloween party and he grabbed a few boxes for the party- so I am totally certain the prices were $.99. We bought 4 boxes ourselves.
I heard from a few of you this morning that you went shopping and discovered the prices are now $1.99. I went to the exact same store we bought ours at today and sure enough the price is now $1.99 when you buy 4.
So either Safeway made a pricing error that they have now corrected or they sold too many boxes at $.99 and decided to raise the price.
Either way the prices were not listed in the ad, so if you were planning to take advantage of this deal you might call ahead to your store and see what they currently have the boxes priced at. If they are still at $.99, I would strongly recommend going to the store as quickly as you can but that price may not last.
I don’t feel that $1.99 is an especially good price for these so if you did miss this sale, the next option would be to hold out for Walgreens starting 10/23.
They will have 3 boxes of Capri Sun for $4.50 after Register Reward.
What if your personal savings is $.86 a box…is that changed too?
Shelly just look at your account. If you have a personal price that is your price unless you suddenly don’t see it there anymore.
I agree $1.99 like the average price for carpi sun. I’m going to hold out for the Walgreen’s deal. Thank you for everything you do for us!
I also got 4 boxes on Wen @ .99 and my friend bought 10 boxes. Safeway messed up and over sold and now taking it back. I can get it every day @ 1.59$ @ Winco
Boo for them! They’ve had sales like this a while back,I hope they didn’t change the price for that reason.I did take adventage of this deal on Thurs.,will check later for price.

I bought 16 boxes on Thursday and the manager was ordering more for me to pick up saturday. I hope they honor the price.
My experience was a little different. I went to Safeway on Friday during my lunch. I wasn’t familiar with this store since they remodeled. Anyway, I wandered the store looking for the Capri Sun and found 2 boxes on the side of an end cap and the price for 4 was showing 99c each. Knowing I needed to buy 4 total to get the price, I continued wandering. Before I found the aisle where they were, I managed to pick up 2 packs of tortillas at $2.29 each, 2 bags of Pea Snacks at 2/$5.00, and a sandwich for $3.99. As I approached the Capri Sun, the sign said they were $1.69 if you bought 4. I quickly found an employee and headed on over to show my findings. They honored the 99c price so I picked up 16 boxes. After you read what I’m about to write, I should have picked up more! I headed to the cash register and gave the cashier the tag that showed 99c. Another employee came over letting him know that this was the honored price and they kept talking about how the price drastically went up overnight. Since the price changed over night, the cashier had to figure out the difference and get an override. While waiting for the override on the price, I swiped my debit card and awaited my receipt. The bagger asked if I needed help out and I declined. The manager came over and punched in his override code and the cashier asked if I needed help out. I quickly declined, took my receipt and headed to my car. My total price was $8.41. My tortillas, snacks and sandwich totalled over $13.00. Amazing savings! Thank you Safeway!
I got the deal yesterday and stocked up on 20 boxes for .66 cents a box went back today to get the 3 day sale items and noticed ours went up-the manager said they met the limit and are able to change the price because the ad does not state specific items with specific prices-therefore it was an easy change 🙁 sorry to those that didnt make it in time
I have a Just for U price of !.86 for Capri Sun. I just got back from Safeway with 4 boxes that i purchased for 86 cents each.
Hmm. I wonder how the math worked on that one Linda 😉 Sounds like you got a $.99 price and the computer still deducted $4 making them free but I wonder what the other $5 was from.

The price at my store changed too, but I had $1.86 as my Just For U price,so they came out to $.86 each today when I bought 12 more!
mine went back up to $2.68 and was not longer listed as a buy 4 get $4.00 off deal for capri suns. I was going to go back and stock up since I only got 7 before thinking I had time. I am so disappointed at the fact it went up.
Can u only use the just for u price/coupon thing only once? Or can it be used until it expires? Thanks in advance..
Cecilia, you’ll have to check your account and see what it says. I believe this one is unlimited but I don’t have it on mine. You still need to buy in increments of 4 though.
Safeway did this with the price of the Fiber 1 brownies during a recent Mix & Match 8 items sale…price per box went from 1.49 to 1.99. Boo Safeway changing prices in the middle of the game!
i went today and they said the $0.99 sale for the capri suns was only one day (friday). so the price is at $1.99 now. but the kool-aid jammers were still $0.99 when you buy 4.
