Walmart.com offers these Olay gift packs for $9.00-$10.00. The shipping is $3. You will also get a free subscription to Allure magazine with your purchase.
Now you have a choice of filling out the form for the free subscription OR you can decline the subscription and get a refund of the magazine value- which is $9.99.
That means you pay $13 and basically get a $10 rebate check back.
So you’ll have to actually order one of these sets and once it arrives, open it up and look for a redemption number inside the box. Then go over to the Olay rebate form here and follow the directions.
*Note: A few people mentioned they did not get a redemption card inside their baskets. It could have been overlooked when they opened it or there could have been an error in the packaging. If you find that to be the case, you might just want to return the basket to Walmart for a refund.
Last year, I bought the basket, submitted the card for the rebate, but never actually received the $10 rebate. I’m definitely not taking my chances this time!
I tired to get a magazine subscription with this last year and it never came. So the rebate might be the better option. 🙂
I received this deal last week. The rebate for $10 had to be mailed in by 9/30/11 (at least the one I got).
Would this apply to the P&G $10 MIR that ends this month?

I’m not sure this will ship to store…when you look at the description it says ship to home. There is not site to store option.
I ordered mine about a month ago, when I received it I was happy to see a little baggies of sample items from Walmart PLUS some great Olay coupons too (and did have the redemption card-already mailed it with for my rebate). I did this deal last year and had no problems getting my rebate : )

I found one option online for $9 plus $.70 shipping. My rebate card was in the baggy full of coupons and samples. Even for $9, not a bad deal.
It does say “sold in stores”. I would think with Christmas gift items being already put on their shelves that there is a pretty good chance that the strores will have these and you can avoid the 3.00 shipping charge.
Susan, I did check my store and mine did not have them available. I believe last year people did find them in some stores though.
I did everything except it processed and never gave me the option to choose between the magazine and the rebate… what do I do? Will the rebate come or am I stuck with a subscription?

Kat you need to send the form back to them saying Decline. The directions on what to do are on the form toward the bottom. If you didn’t follow those directions you are probably getting the subscription.
There is a little card under all the products. You go to the allure website and there’s a page there you can subscribe to the magazine, or if you read the fine print on the bottom you can mail it in for a rebate.
I did this last year and also didn’t get the rebate. 🙁
For those who successfully received a rebate, did the website accept your redemption code? It tells me that mine is invalid. I am not sure if clicking “submit” is required if we just want a rebate because at the bottom of the webpage, there is an area to fill in your personal information. Maybe clicking “submit” is only needed when you want a magazine subscription?
Jojo, if you are entering the code and clicking submit you are asking for the magazine. If you don’t want the magazine you need to scroll to the bottom and follow those directions to refuse the subscription.
Ok, I ordered 2, sent in both forms as requested in the same envelope and I got a check for almomst $20 (rebate for both). There seems to be no limit! Yea!
Is there a way to check on the status of the rebate? I filled mine out about a month ago.
