Shoprite in CT (Milford, Stratford and West Haven, at least) had a 3/$5 Hershey’s snack size coupon in this week’s flier. Stacked with 3 $1 Hershey coupons, that’s 3/$2 or $.66 each. Just hoping there’s candy left for Treat or Treaters!

Charlene, YOU ROCK!!!! It was so hard to keep track of all the candy deals right now. I have to pick up some for our church’s Trunk or Treat…this is perfect timing! Thanks again!!!!

@ash, it is probably your computer. My home computer takes forever, but my work computer pops up in a second.

Well there was something wrong with the site last night. It should have been fixed by now though. I get so upset about it I won’t tell you the foul language that I use at my hosting company. They think I am a truck driver not a mom of littles 😉 I will get to screaming at them again and just leave me a comment if you notice the site is pokey. Sometimes I think it is just me but site speed is something that is very important to me so I will for sure look into it.

Jen- it is typically the morning after but I did see the preview for the weekend ad at TRU saying candy was 50% off. Are you going to Trunk or Treat at Bayside?

  12. Charlene says

    10/27/2011 at 5:07 PM

Well no- she was right that is was slow but you were right too because it should have been fixed this morning. I think the issue was that I opened up comments so I don’t have to moderate them last night and that made things slow. Or at least that is the excuse du jour from my hosting company 😛

In the treat bags my kids got from the CVS Halloween party last Sunday, there was a CVS coupon for $5 off any Hershey’s Snack Size bag 19oz. or larger.
CVS has Hershey’s 24.17 – 41.5oz bags priced at $7.99 this week. Stack the $5 coupon with the $1 coupon Charlene posted above and pay $1.99 for a HUGE bag of candy.

The Hershey’s $1/1 coupon doesn’t state “Do Not Double,” so I went to Safeway yesterday hoping to buy two bags of Hershey’s candy for 50 cents each. I found Buy 2, Get 1 Free peelies on the snack size bags, and ended up getting THREE bags for $1 — woo hoo!

Thanks again for your help, Charlene!

I had a $1 off two nestle bags I found in the 10/16 RP, but did not find a coupon in the Butterfinger bag. 🙁

Some alternatives to chocolate: I love chocolate bars, but with all the peanut allergies around I like to have something available for the trick-or-treaters who cannot have candy bars (remember even if the candy bar doesn’t contain nuts, it may have been processed in a facility that uses nuts.) I usually grab a box of mini popcorn bags ($4 for 20 at Walmart), fruit roll-ups or rice crispy treats. Also, Wendy’s usually has their frosty jr coupon book available at this time of year. ($1 for 10 free frosty jr coupons).

Jenell isn’t Butterfinger made by Nestle? If the coupon says bags of Nestle candy that should be fine for Butterfinger.
