Update: It looks like there is a glitch today with this promotion and it is not offering free shipping despite the offer clearly stating it is free in several places. ย I did inquire about the problem and here is the response from Target:

It wouldn’t give me free shipping. It said free shipping was available with at least a $50 purchase.

Check the update on the post- it looks to be a glitch with Target today. Maybe they will fix it before the end of the day.
M. Kowa- like I said in the post I think Target just blew it here. There is no $50 charge for free shipping. The daily deals always have free shipping. Period. Free shipping. Target made a mistake today and so I updated the post to indicate they made a mistake. You can post something on facebook to complain because really this has happened a few times recently and shame on them for not correcting the problem. I spoke with someone that was impossible to understand myself and I finally just hung up.
Heads up — I also ordered and then called in for an adjustment. I was told I had to spend $50 or more for free shipping and I couldn’t cancel the order so I have to refuse the package when it arrives in order to get full credit back to my account. I guess someone wants me to have these brushes lol
Oh that makes me so mad. What terrible service. I really encourage you to post on the Facebook wall. Shame on Target.
I called in a while ago and I am extremely frustrated. I argued with the rep that helped me for 30mins before I finally admitted defeat and hung up. They told me they couldn’t adjust anything and that their hands were tied on the issue. My husband told me to call back and get a different rep but I fear my experience would be the same. Sure they are just some makeup brushes, but to me, if you advertise always free shipping, check and make sure your cart/items are coded correctly, and that your employees know how to adjust for errors like this. Thank you for listing the Amazon deals in addition to this! All the other great info you provide on this blog will cancel out my frustrations with Target in no time! ๐
I got an email today with a code for $5 off any Target.com puchase. It expires on 10/29/11.

Both myself and a friend used it towards the $5.99 brush set to make it 99cents.
Also, I ordered the brush set, was charged the shipping, called and talked to customer service and WAS refunded the $5.15 shipping charge. She kept telling me it was the FREE SHIP for $50 spent, but I kept reminding her that it was a daily deal and NO SHIPPING has ever been charged on daily deals and I finally got my shipping refunded. I hope that helps someone else.
Carla and Charlene-Ya’ll were right. What excellent Target customer service!(tone of sarcasm) I called about getting my shipping refunded and all the customer service person wanted to do was argue that I was wrong. I don’t have time(or the patience) for that, so I asked to speak to a manager and he said sure and then hung up on me! Wow, I just don’t understand why they have such a “could care less” type attitude toward their customers.
Oh I know. The whole thing annoys me to no end because they kept telling me $50. I have posted these deals for nearly 3 years now and never one single time has it not been free shipping. I found talking to the service rep about as fun as a root canal and when I said I needed to speak with a manager they said they were “releasing the call” and hung up. I am really appalled with Target. ๐
Charlene-LOL, yes, it Was about as fun as a root canal, and I would know because I’ve had one! Anyways, wanted to update you on my order. I called back a third(!!!) time and ended up speaking to a female representative who ended up saying I was correct and should Not have been charged shipping. She refunded the shipping onto my card and sent an email confirmation showing it. So, I am happy about that, but hope future orders with them are not as complicated. Anyways, Thank You So Much Charlene for all the goodies, deals, and samples you put up daily for all of us. I truly appreciate all the leg work you put into all that you do on here!! ๐
