Well this has been bothering me all week and I really don’t know what to say. It seems odd to not mention such a significant day yet it is so hard to put into words what is such a deeply personal experience for all of us.
So I just wanted to take a minute and acknowledge this day and its significance. I just wanted to express a special thanks to all of the service people out there that dedicate their lives to fighting for the freedom we all get to enjoy.
And a special note to all of you that lost family members, coworkers and friends during the tragic events all those years ago. We have not forgotten.
Anyway, I hope you can take a few minutes to remember what is really important in your life today.

Thanks Charlene for mentioning such a significant event…my eyes tear although i have no direct family lost during this sad even…i remember watching it on tv 10 years ago but i feels like yesterday.May God bless all those Souls and watch over families.
I can’t think about that day without a tear in my eye. This mornings paper was filled with remarkable articles and pictures that cannot be looked at without emotion. My own former son-in-law was still in high school when 9/11 happened and yet he still joined the Army and has served 3 tours in Iraq bravely. He is a hero fighting for freedom, God bless you Andrew.
I also tear up everytime I think of 9/11. I will never forget watching the second plane hit the tower live on TV. It is so hard to put into words the emotions I felt on that day, and still today. God Bless America, and those who fight for our freedom!!
Along with all the official remembrance ceremonies that I watched this weekend to remember and reflect on the events of the last decade, one everyday citizen made a statement that will stick with me. “We love more than we hate and we give more than we take.” America is beautiful.
I had a hard time too, knowing what to say on my blog yesterday. In the end, I decided it was better to post something, rather than nothing, so I posted a link to the video for “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning”) I’m probably the only person on earth who hadn’t heard that song until I read about it in yesterdays Parade magazine in the newspaper, but just in case, you can find it here.
